She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, completed her residency at Rowan University, and holds a Master's in Biosciences from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She also earned her bachelor's degree from Gettysburg College.
Dr. Weitzer serves as an Editorial Advisory Board member for Psycom Pro and is a member of the ABC News Medical Unit. She transitioned to a transgender woman in her early 20s (read about her personal journey here). Her peer-reviewed publications include the Journal of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Treatment of Skin Disease (6th Edition), Medicina, Essential Psychiatry for the Aesthetic Provider, and the Journal of Addiction Medicine.
