I love ZocDoc. Anytime I book with them, i get want i anticipated. This visit was no different. My child’s new pediatrician was knowledge, attentive, and her hours are great for working families. The office was clean and is conveniently located in the heart of Brooklyn near most train lines and bus extensions. My only complaint was her front desk staff. Not sure if it was bc it was close to closing but they were abrupt, rude and just all around unprofessional. Those type of ppl can really bring a potentially good practice down.

We have seen Danis since my daughter was 2 or 3 years old. We've seen her at her previous practice, and followed her to Juno. She is a great listener and likeminded about certain things that are important to me that previous practices were insensitive about (when I found her I was leaving a practice that strong-armed new parents into sleep training young infants). She also understood when I have been resistant about overuse of antibiotics; I feel like I can trust her when she says something is necessary.

I'm a board-certified pediatrician with over 7-years of experience caring for children from newborns to adolescents. I grew up in small towns in Texas and Arkansas and spent my young life wanting to emulate the doctors who took care of me and my family. I moved to New York for my medical training and fell in love with the city and pediatric medicine. I have been a private practice pediatrician in Brooklyn since 2014, and I love practicing in my community where I have put down roots. I am committed to providing individual, family-centered care and getting to know each of my patients personally.
In each encounter with a child, I work to provide not only excellent, evidence-based care, but to share knowledge to empower parents and caregivers to trust their instincts. I do this through open communication, collaboration toward health goals, practical advice, and a healthy dose of humor. My goal is health and wellness for the entire family.

First of all, the office was easy to find. Parking was a little difficult, however, there is public parking that’s super accessible for everyone. Then again, it’s busy Atlantic Ave so what do you expect? Dr. Danis was amazing. I was mesmerized by her conversation with my almost 5 year old. I didn’t even know my girl could hold a conversation as long as she did. Plus, she was overall very thorough. Even with my son, she wanted to know everything about him which I was amazed by because their previous doctor wasn’t really interested. I highly recommend Dr. Danis to anyone looking for a pediatrician.

It was our first visit with Dr. Copenhaver and we absolutely loved her. We have been on the hunt to find a pediatrician for our son. Our wait time was minimal. Dr. Copenhaver answered all of our questions and we really liked her personality. She was gentle with our son which was important for us. After this visit, we will be making Dr. Copenhaver our son's official pediatrician. She's amazing!

Dr. Copenhaver has cared for both my son and daughter from the ages of 2 and birth respectively. We simply wouldn’t go to anyone else! Dr. Copenhaver both asks all of the necessary questions and also leaves room for both kiddos and parents to share how they are doing and ask questions. A parent herself, Dr. Copenhaver is able to combine empathy and support with her expertise. She really is the best!
