A native of New Jersey, Dr. Kiken graduated from the University of Pennsylvania summa cum laude and received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with distinction, earning membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, after which he completed an internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
Dr. Kiken then pursued a clinical research fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital. He continued his dermatology training and served as Chief Resident of Dermatology in his final year of residency, at the University of California, San Diego, where he received extensive training in advanced dermatologic and skin surgery techniques.
While in California, Dr. Kiken had the privilege to train in advanced dermatologic surgery and cosmetic skin treatments under the tutelage of internationally-renowned cosmetic dermatologists. Dr. Kiken brings his unique expertise and training to New Jersey, where he tailors his approach to your individual needs and concerns. Using advanced techniques, Dr. Kiken can minimize the signs of aging and sun damage, remove skin flaws, and treat disfiguring skin conditions.
Dr. Kiken has participated in clinical trials for medications now used to treat children's skin conditions. He has also published manuscripts in leading medical journals on topics including acne, atopic dermatitis, and tinea capitis, all common skin problems seen in children.
Dr. Kiken takes a special approach with the children in his care, performing exams and procedures in a reassuring manner designed to minimize the patient's anxiety and discomfort. Our office provides a warm and caring atmosphere, and the lines of communication are always open for our younger patients.
