Dr. Boguslavsky is so grounded, down-to-earth, engaging, and easy to talk to. He actually said hi to me while my head was down filling out paperwork in the reception area (who does that?! No one.) which made me feel welcome as if I was at someone's home. He is definitely a master of breaking down that doctor patient barrier. I came in for depression, which for me is uncomfortable and embarrassing to share, but Dr. Boguslavsky made me feel so comfortable. I honestly smiled and laughed through my (embarrassing) tears the entire appointment because he's actually really funny. He may have only been funny because I was there for depression, but either way, his energy is so warm and genuine. Oh, and the acupuncture wasn't bad either! Lol. So 3 hours later, I absolutely 100% feel clear headed. Before I felt heavy, foggy and sad. Now I'm just sad... hahaha, but I have to see a therapist for that one. I do feel the acupuncture noticeably cleared the heavy fog though so I'll be back next week for more.
Lastly, I got acupuncture for my excruciatingly tense neck, and after my short session of just lying there alone with my tiny needles, I left feeling exactly the way it feels after a neck massage from a heavy handed man. Kinda sore. But a good sore. So that was surprising! I highly recommended this doctor.

David Boguslavsky, MD is an experienced and dedicated family physician and medical acupuncturist who has been practicing medicine for more than a decade. Dr. Boguslavsky is originally from Russia and at young age moved to New Jersey where he not only attended medical school but established his medical practice. Dr. Boguslavsky received his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his residency training at Somerset Family Practice, where he was presented with multiple Resident Teacher of The Year awards. He underwent extensive additional training in Medical Acupuncture at the prestigious UCLA Helms Medical Acupuncture Institute in Berkley, California. Dr. Boguslavsky is Board Certified in Family Medicine and in Medical Acupuncture, a unique achievement.
At the root of Dr. Boguslavsky’ s holistic approach to medicine lies a belief that there is much more to being healthy than just preventing being sick. The doctor's function is to support the patient during his or her life journey, and to make sure that the patient is in the best physical, emotional and spiritual health they can be.
Dr. Boguslavsky practices the full spectrum of Family medicine and sees his patients for acute illness (such as headaches, sinus infections) as well for chronic conditions management (thyroid, hypertension, diabetes, cholesterol). Every patient of the practice benefits from his unique dual perspective, offered by Western and Eastern Medicine. Some patients walk away with a medication, whereas others leave reassured, and improved with some Chinese Herbal Medicines or a few well-chosen acupuncture needles. Additionally, Dr. Boguslavsky specializes in treating patients with pain and functional disorders.
There is a great emphasis in the practice on preventative care and on early control of risk factors, vitamin and mineral deficiencies diet-related imbalances.

I was initially referred to Dr. David by a co-worker for medical acupuncture. I had been struggling with symptoms of endometriosis and needed help managing the disease due to my inability to tolerate hormonal birth control. Upon speaking with Dr. David he assured me that he could help relieve many of the bothersome symptoms and control the disease. At first I was skeptical, but after the first few visits, I was a believer. He has changed my life through holistic healing and his personality and bed side manner are just fringe benefits. He is a great person and will always take time to talk with you about anything - medical or not. I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to see him, I'm usually brought right in as soon as I arrive because they schedule in half hour blocks, ensuring that he has enough time to be with each patient.
Also, my insurance is out of network for Dr. B, but he worked with me on adjusting the co-pay so that I wouldn't have to pay the out of network overages.
All around, great office with friendly staff and an extremely knowledgeable doctor. If you're looking for someone who doesn't want to just write a script and get you out of the office quickly, Dr. David is the one for you.

First, the scheduling of an appointment is very easy and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I had zero wait time and was in with the Dr. at my appointed time.
