Dr. David Kim is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and urogynecology, and stays current with the most up-to-date options for his patients.
Dr. Kim is a native of Southern California and obtained his undergraduate and medical degree from USC. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at an integrated program with Wright-Patterson Medical Center and Wright State University in Ohio in 2006. He remained as teaching faculty and an active duty physician in the United States Air Force until the completion of his commitment in 2013. While in the Air Force he was selected for rank of Lieutenant Colonel and won numerous awards including the Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal for his clinical expertise and for taking outstanding care of his patients.
Dr. Kim is excited to return home to begin his practice serving the San Gabriel Valley at Sierra Madre Community Medical Group. He is committed to providing individualized medical care utilizing the most current treatment options. He practices full scope Obstetrics and Gynecology, but specializes in minimally invasive surgery for the quickest recovery and shortest stays in the hospital.
Dr. Kim takes care of his patients primarily at Arcadia Methodist Hospital, but also has privileges at Huntington Memorial Hospital and San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. He accepts most insurance policies and is accepting new patients. Dr Kim speaks English and Korean, and has office staff to translate for Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese.
