Dr. Bates is a 1999 graduate of the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, FL. He completed 2 years of residency following graduation. The first year at Cedar's Medical Center in Miami, FL and the 2nd year of surgical training at St. Luke's Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Dr. Bates is originally from Illinois and has a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Il.
He has been in practice in AZ since 2003 in Phoenix, Scottsdale and Peoria. He made his Peoria office into a full-time practice in January 2011.
Dr. Bates enjoys all aspects of podiatry, but has a particular interest in sports medicine and working with athletes. He has played sports and been active his entire life and can share many of the concerns and injuries of people pursuing the same activities.
Dr. Bates lives in Glendale and has 2 daughters, Brixey and Harper. He enjoys working out, hiking, sports and spending time with his daughters.
