I always go to doctors that are in my hospitals but this time I wanted to see someone same day. I didnt read review bec I really didn't think doctors can be this bad. They make you fill 6 page form and then doctor will ask you same questions himself. He is impatient and will get mad at you if your answers are long or not exact. Really, that is not a joke. You get to feel like you are 5 again and have been naughty. It's very uncomfortable experience even when you are not sick. He told me keep answers short I will ask details later but never got to that point. I guess he found a way to treat patients by just filling forms. The issue is he wants specific answers yes or no and I don't have them alwalways. I was hoping maybe he is just brilliant but impatient doctor but I also realized he missed so much because he didn't talk to me properly. Lesson here, if doctor is avialible same day there is probably reason for it. Waste of my time. And before leaving he asked me what kind of research I do. I think that was way of him trying to say hey look I am nice too. but just annoying since I wish he was nice doing his job.

Great staff. They are all friendly and helpful. The appt felt a bit rushed, but the doctor explained its because he has only 45 minutes per patient.

Extremely impatient, aggressive, and rude. You’ll spend most of your time arguing, which you should never do with a doctor. I would give 0 stars if I could. The worst attitude I have ever seen in a doctor. He will constantly interrupt you and implicitly call you a liar. Very unprofessional.
March 24, 2021Yazeed H.Verified patient
I usually don’t write reviews especially on zocdoc because my doctor’s quality has never been bad. I always thought all doctors are trained and due to the nature of the job, they all are professional and of high quality, but David proved me wrong not once, but twice. On the first appointment, I saw great reviews although questionable bedside manner, but I recently had a bad fall and needed to speak to a doctor immidiately and he had an option for online appointment. He showed up late and then turned a 30 min appointment into over an hour, which meant I was late for other meetings. He hung up on me 6 times to treat another patient who said was higher priority to me and probably only spent 15 minutes on the phone. He was incredibly rude constantly cutting me off and telling me “no your not listening” and “no I’m speaking.” I decided to go in for a 2nd appointment just to find out the results of my exams and he promised to run extra tests on me. He has an even ruder attitude and wouldn’t listen to me unless I kept my mouth shut and only responded with yes sir. He refused to give those tests even though all my examinations were negative and I told him I had no symptoms anymore. His only reasonings were because he said I was talking a lot and being argumentative. So basically I am forced to find a new doctor who will hear me out, treat me with respect, and run the tests they promise to run. The worst part was at the end he told the receptionist to come in so he can rip into me in front of her and continue to make fun of any personality traits he didn’t like. I tend to see myself as a kind and respectful person, but now I am leaving the appointment feeling not only horrible about myself , but also without my results. I will never look at the medical profession the same.

Dr. Rabinovici is great. As you've probably read, he has a method -- and I applaud it. Imagine being in his position: you need to extract information you need from each patient in a timely way -- and I guarantee that many patients out there want to start telling Dr. R their theories, their story, their Google research, etc. That's not the best way to get info. The best way to get info is to ask a series of yes/no questions. When you answer the questions, don't embellish, don't start telling your story, don't go on tangents, etc. Just answer the questions. He's ruling things out with these questions, so answer them directly and honestly. Once he gets through his questions, then there's time to chat and have a discussion.
If you want a true professional, reach out to Dr. Rabinovici!

Went after seeing so many great reviews. Well....After accident I seen enough doctors to learn how to stay within specific problem, clear and don’t overburden with med history details. I would never bring insulting to any professional questions based on: “. I read this on WebMD”, what I read there I keep to myself, great website thou...but this doctor iwould repeatedly interrupt while I still try answer his question. I really tried to shorten my sentences, answer with yes or no trying to “please this doctor” but not all questions can be answered with one syllable answer. I asked permission to speak and ask question. (Hello first grade) I left his office in the middle of eval not being able to take enough of such unseen behavior. He tried to convince me back and said based on what I already said if I don’t take my condition seriously I will have a stroke in 3 months. Well, I nearly had one in his office!!! If I was allowed to even finish ONE SENTENCE, including related to previous surgeries, it be clear that I have one eye blurry vision because of systematic dehydration and eye surgery. My headaches 90% related to TBI as they started after accident. I was too busy trying to heel bones and not concentrating on migrates till I reached of my “need-to-treat-zone” end of the list. I came complaining about trembling occasionally lower lip which does effect speech a little and loss of sensation in chin problem most likely not because of upcoming stroke but because nerve got pinched/moved/stretched during operation and I was seeking a doctor who can find an alternative treatment vs “get used to it” my Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery team once told me. I was able to find an amazing doctor for eye , amazing dentist just by not taking all white coats words as 100% accurate and if in doubt I always seek second opinion and do a lot of research with all pro and cons ... Thus this time I needed to “fix” chin’s nerve.
was crying on my way back home. Me! Crying! I was trying to joke with Ortho team through the pain in post op. Room. Never a single MD saw me crying If asked My pain was always at 6 max (even in ER room level 1 trauma) yet this doctor surely know “how to hit the nerve” so you either angry or crying or both. Not the treatment I been seeking.

David Rabinovici, MD was great for my first visit. Before i selected him i read all the reviews, some people mentioned that he has bad side matters, i dont agreed. His time is limited for us to tell our life stories that have nothing to do with why are we there. i enjoyed the process, he's staff was gentle and super nice, making my visit more pleasent.

He cares about doing the right thing for his patient. In my case that meant not doing something unnecessary that my insurance didn’t cover. He was professional and thorough.
December 8, 2019Elizabeth H.Verified patient
I had seen multiple neurologists before seeing him and none of them had gotten to the bottom of what was going on. I had 3 ER visits in the year prior because of movement problems and medication problems. Dr. R took into consideration my huge medical history (which is hundreds of pages) and took his time with prescribing the right medication. I now know what is going on with me and I am now getting the correct treatment.

Office was easy to find. Front desk staff were nice and answered all of my questions. David is thorough and makes sure to cover all the bases before giving a diagnosis.

Terrible bedside manner. Was condescending, interrupted me while I was speaking, and did not seem to care about me as a person. Will not return.
May 15, 2019Initials hidden
The doctor received me on time and took the time needed to understand my issues. I especially appreciated being able to do a large portion of the testing at the same appointment. I ended up spending almost 3 hours there.
I had read the previous reviews here and was prepared for the stern way the interview was conducted. I was expected to just reply with a simple "yes" or "no" and any attempt at qualifying or going into details was abruptly cut off. While I can sympathize with the challenge of collecting a lot of information in a short amount of time and fitting it into quantized fields on his computer, I feel this takes away some from the humanity of the patient-doctor relationship and pushes part of the problem of arbitrating and distilling complex information onto the patient. After this initial information gathering he did go into more of a qualitative conversation about each problem. I felt I would've had more understanding if these steps would've been clearly explained in the beginning.
All in all I'm *very* happy with the doctors professionalism, thoroughness and dedication to understand and test me, and to explain the direction and next steps. I'd recommend this doctor to anyone, but please be prepared to follow his way of conducting the interview.

He is very abrasive, from my experience, I do nor understand how he still has a practice. He needs to improve his empathy with patients. I do not recommend him as a medical professional.

Dr Rabinovici is very thorough in investigating and gathering all relevant symptoms, medical records, and history in helping diagnose and take care of his patients. (personally, I prefer this over often common approach of professionals making quick common diagnoses).
Wait time is very reasonable (20 min or so) and the staff are helpful and friendly as well.

November 24, 2017Birgit C.Verified patient
Dr. Rabinovici is perhaps the most thorough doctor I've ever seen. Meticulous attention to detail and effort in diagnosing my headaches. His bedside manner is quite direct and he's all-business in his questioning and examination—he will cut you off if you start elaborating, which can be off-putting at first, but once you get to know his style and his depth of experience, it makes sense — he knows the info he needs to get from you. All that said, he is a super friendly guy once you get talking to him.
