I have been seeing Dr. McCarty for a couple years now and I can not express enough how much she has helped. She has listened and truly made such educated decisions on which medications I should be on. She has always given me her full attention during every session. She takes time to get to know her patients so that she can truly help figure out the problem. I’ve had great experiences and I’m so thankful for Dr. McCarty.

My name is Dawn McCarty, and I'm a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience. I take a holistic approach to care and specialize in dual diagnosis and medication management. Areas of special interest include addiction, PTSD, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and schizophrenia.
The first step toward healing begins with an accurate diagnosis, followed by proper medication management. Together, we can work to harness your inner strengths, learn new coping skills, and break down barriers that prevent you from living your best life.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Xavier University and my Master's in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Dawn is amazing! I never had someone that actually READ my medical history and took my symptoms into account. While I understand that misdiagnosis is possible, she looked into the trends I was experiencing with my medication, and got it right on the first try. I cannot recommend her enough, and she keeps me informed and is sure to answer all of my questions as they come up.
