I highly recommend Dr. Castañeda. I went to see her for a torn Achilles. I was having problems with my insurance so when I saw her after 2 weeks after my injury. She was concerned how much time had passed so she scheduled my surgery and an MRI right away. She truly made me feel better and I felt like she cared. She even asked me if I wanted a scooter instead of crutches so I was more comfortable. I hope I don't have any other ankle injuries but if I ever do I would definitely go back to her.

Dr. Castañeda was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Southern California until leaving to obtain her undergraduate degree in English from Harvard University, graduating cum laude. She also studied Spanish while attending Harvard and is proficient in the language. She returned to Southern California to continue her studies, attending the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She then completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center before going on to receive advanced, specialized training through a foot and ankle fellowship with Mark S. Myerson, M.D., at The Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Castañeda has interests in clinical research and has published multiple papers on conditions of the foot and ankle. She has extensive experience in the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of foot and ankle injuries and conditions. Additionally, she is a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS).
Dr. Castañeda is a sports and music enthusiast and enjoys traveling with her family.

I've seen 3 doctors about a foot injury and Dr. Castañeda was the first one who really listened and actually seemed to care about my condition and about putting me on a path to recovery. I definitely recommend this doctor.

Dr Castaneda & her Assistant are so very friendly & knowledgeable. Dr Castaneda treated my younger son for a broken are first in the ER then in her office & my older son for knee pain. She made wonderful treatment decisions for both the boys. I would Highly recommend Dr Castaneda & her team!

Dr. Castenada was referred to me by the orthopedist that is treating my knee. He wanted me to see Dr. Casteneada as she specializes in foot and ankle problems, which I have developed. She was very professional, listened to me, preformed both a physical exam and ordered x-rays during our first 20 mins together. The x-rays were done in her office facility immediately, the results were transferred to the computer in my exam room and she explained the results to me, all within approx 1 hour! Dr. Castaneda explained my problem clearly and presented the treatment options to me. I HIGHLY recommend her as an orthopedist. Her office staff was kind, friendly and caring. The office was clean and orderly. I will continue my treatment with Dr. Castaneda throughout the course of my recovery.
