Dr. Deirdre Wood-Harper, MD
Dr. Deidre Wood received her medical school training at Hahnemann University/Medical College of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1996. She continued with an internship in International Medicine at both Medical College of Pennslyvania Hospital and the Philadelphia Veteran's Administration. After completing her internship, she began a Dermatology Residency at Hahnemann. She completed four additional years of training including a specialty fellowship in cutaneous lymphomas. She was Chief Resident during her final year. She then joined the faculty at Drexel University as Assistant Clinical Professor where she taught residents and started the cosmetic dermatology program. In 2003, she began her private practice in Northeast Philadelphia where she continues to practice today. She has special interests in skin cancer and cosmetic dermatology but enjoys all aspects of her field, especially the patients! Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Wood loves traveling and has lived in Boston, Washington D.C., San Francisco and Augusta, GA. She attended Harvard College as an undergraduate and took time off to have her two older children before returning to Philadelphia for medical school. She now lives in Montgomery County with her youngest son and a dog with whom she enjoys exploring the hiking trails. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Philadelphia Dermatologic Society and the Pennslyvania Medical Society.
