“I wanted to get help for excessive facial hair growth. Dr. Parks was thoughtful in his questions, really wanting to hear all I’ve done so far to manage my situation and all details of my concerns. No judgment, just handling business with a great personality!! He asked clarifying questions and gave multiple options, with no pressure in one direction or another. He gave me all necessary information I needed to make the choice that worked best for me. I left his office, and headed downstairs to get my blood tests done to ensure it was safe and smart to take the medicine he told me about. One day later my results came back and his office contacted me to confirm the pharmacy for my prescription. Incredibly grateful to Dr. Parks and his office staff for such quick, thorough, and helpful care. Can’t wait to come back for my follow up!”

Dr. Alan J. Parks founded Eastside Dermatology & Skin Care Center and has served as its medical director since 1987. Dr. Parks is board certified in dermatology with clinical interests including cosmetic and surgical dermatology, laser treatments, BOTOX® Cosmetic, and skin cancer surgery. Dr. Parks is a recipient of the American Academy of Dermatology Community Service Award for skin cancer screening and the Edmund D. Lowney Teaching Award for teaching dermatology residents. He was also the first physician to perform purely tumescent liposuction in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Alan J. Parks graduated from the State University of New York – Downstate Medical School in 1983. After finishing school, Dr. Parks held an internship in internal medicine at Downstate Hospitals. In 1987, he completed his dermatology residency at Ohio State University, where he served as chief resident during his final year.
