Dr. Panagiotou is a very good cardiologist and Dr., makes you feel comfortable and is highly practical in providing health recommendations. Quality bedside manner is very apparent from the beginning, even during this COVID pandemic on remote appts. Also knowledgeable, would definitely recommend.

Dr. Demetrios Panagiotou is a dedicated and skilled cardiologist serving the North New Jersey area. He attend the Weill Medical College of Cornell University; where he received his medical degree and completed his internal medicine residency at the NYU School of Medicine. He then completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He subsequently completed an additional fellowship at the Columbia University Medical Center-NYP in Nuclear Cardiology and Advanced Cardiac Imaging.
Dr. Panagiotou is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He specializes in preventive cardiology with hypertension and hyperlipidemia management, stress testing, cardiac arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure (systolic and diastolic), heart disease in renal failure patients, and advanced cardiac imaging for all cardiac conditions. Dr. Panagiotou also enjoys practicing general internal medicine. He also is able to be a primary care physician (PCP).
Dr. Panagiotou is one of the few cardiologist in the tri-state area that is designated by the American Society of Hypertension as a Hypertension Specialist. He is also has a certification as registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI).
He is devoted to proving high quality care and helping the patient coordinate his health care to provide the best possible outcomes for each individual patient.

This was my first appointment with Dr. P. It was a telemedicine appointment, which I was grateful to get. He was friendly, listened to my issue and provided his view. He asked if I had any questions a couple times. It was a quick visit and put me at ease. I would visit him again, hopefully as an in-person visit so he can hear vitals.

It was a pleasant experience overall, with not much wait time. Booked 08:00 AM appointment for annual check up, completed all tests / consultations by 09:30 AM. Doctor is patient and listens what we say. Would recommend.

Dr. D as my daughter fondly calls him is the most professional, caring and sincere doctor I've ever met. We came from NYC where most doctors will only spend 2 min max with you after waiting for more than an hour. I made an appt and was booked within the week. My first visit to a cardiologist and was kind of nervous being that I had an AFIB when I was 27 and just been on the same meds since then. He was patient and answered all my questions. Gave me great news that everything looked good on the EKG. Next we are gonna measure my heart w a sonogram and whatever else If needed. I really enjoyed seeing this dr and I have a cardiologist. I recommend him highly. Patience w patient is 5 stars in my eyes.
