About Dr. Denise Bruckerhoff
Dr. Denise Bruckerhoff is a Doctor of Osteopathy. She graduated with honors from Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. While in her final year of medical school, she trained in a different city virtually every month. These experiences were extremely beneficial and were instrumental in shaping her style of practice.
Dr. Bruckerhoff loves working with people throughout different stages of their lives, caring for others and helping them live a healthy, quality life by providing compassionate and comprehensive healthcare. Providing valuable care and tools for patients to continue to see healthy results is extremely important to her.
In addition to her medical training, Dr. Bruckerhoff spent approximately eight years managing the care of patients in various settings. Her experiences have included acute care hospital, long-term acute care hospital, acute rehabilitation, nursing home, hospice, independent living, assisted living, and home healthcare. This intensive exposure helped her to create a multi-level approach to patient care. She understands that all individuals are not created equal, and she is committed to providing the highest quality of care to her patients.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, exercising, sports, traveling, and cooking. She is an avid University of Kansas Jayhawks fan.

Unprofessional staff, call me 1 day before my appointment and ask if I can pay out of pocket, rescheduled appointment is 2 months wait even it was the staff unawareness

The doctor was okay and the experience wasn't bad, but she seemed more concerned about COVID protocols than patient health. She described everything for the last 3 years being a blur and we're still in a pandemic. We're no longer in a pandemic and it troubling that a doctor wouldn't know that. The mask protocol is over the top and it's time to move on and address other patient health issues.

Dr. Bruckerhoff had previously taken my concerns seriously, then during my physical she was dismissive. She also didn't tell me that by asking questions at my physical I would be billed for a separate office visit in addition to my physical. I was extremely disappointed by the surprise bill and lack of disclosure during our appointment.
In attempt to see a specialist, I received 4 different referrals from their referral coordinator for specialists not covered by my insurance. I had to call my insurance myself and find a covered specialist and feed that information to the referral coordinator. I also called 3 days before a bloodwork appointment asking if her office could add labs related to a health issue I was experiencing, which they said they could, and then did not do. In fact the lab didn't have any lab request from her office and I lost my appointment. I spent half a day calling her office in order to get the labs submitted.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Bruckerhoff. I went in for an in person appointment but found out that due to my symptom, I had to be seen virtually 9via video call through my phone0. So I had my appointment with her while I was in my car outside her practice. I was still seen right away with no wait time. Dr. Bruckerhoff was very nice, attentive and understanding. She informed me of all my options after my diagnosis. I would recommend her as a primary care physician.

I felt respected, validated in my concerns, and overall was impressed with the efficiency of their office. My wait was longer than normal due to circumstances out of their control (Network was down) but the staff checked in with me throughout my wait to let me know she would be in as soon as she could, instead of just letting me wait and wonder whether I’d been forgotten about. I also loved that I could get blood work done in-house instead of go to a lab. Going to the Doctor overwhelms me, but my mind was put at ease today at Dr. Bruckerhoff’s office.

Dr Bruckerhoff was detailed and covered all of my concerns. This was just a visit for her to take notes and assess. She still asks for co pay. My mom was NOT aloud in the waiting room at all. After 20-25 min of family medical history. I wish my mom was there to help and if anything happened, you will not have support at all. Looking forward to working with Dr.

Dr. Bruckerhoff and staff were a joy to work with! The ability to schedule and have a visit all virtually was very convenient considering my busy work schedule. I especially like that they gave me several different technology options to conduct the visit with (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.). I look forward to seeing them in person for my upcoming annual physical exam!

Dr. Bruckerhoff listened to each of my questions and made sure to give thorough and detailed answers to each one, she makes sure you are taken care of. Each time I visit her office I am always met with friendly, welcoming staff and a clean, comfortable environment. Highly recommend her!

Dr. Bruckerhoff is a wonderful Physician. She makes you feel very comfortable and makes things easy to understand. She does not rush your visits and does not keep you waiting forever. Additionally, her staff is also very attentive and quick to help you with any questions you may have. I won't go anywhere else, A++.
