As a Kentucky native, Dr. Peveler attended Western Kentucky University, receiving Bachelor’s degrees in both Chemistry and Biology. During his undergraduate career, Dr. Peveler was an active member of Unite for Sight and the Lions Club.
Dr. Peveler continued his education at the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry, earning his Doctor of Optometry degree. Throughout his graduate studies, Dr. Peveler was an intern under the late N. Rex Ghormley; a renowned contact lens specialist. During his last year of optometry school, Dr. Peveler completed clinical externships in primary eye care, pediatrics and binocular vision, ocular disease, contact lenses, and geriatric care.
Dr. Peveler is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Optometric Association. He also donates his clinical skills through school vision screenings and non-profit clinics. Dr. Peveler resides in the greater Nashville area with his wife, Beth and his son, Landon.
