I contacted Dr. Braun for help with depression, anxiety, ADD, and BED. She displays an excellent knowledge of these topics, and keeps abreast of changes and new developments. Dr. Braun is very compassionate and understanding as well, and her sessions provide a safe place in which to discuss and explore my needs and a supported path to recovery. I feel that she takes an interest that is real and non-judgemental, and knowing that she actively keeps up to date in all new changes gives me the confidence that her focus is on what is best for me.

Devra Braun, MD, is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who maintains a cutting –edge expertise in evidence-based mind-body treatments. She works toward individualizing psychopharmacology, using tools such as genetic testing when appropriate.
She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill-Cornell Medical College and a graduate of Cornell University and NYU Medical School. She is Medical Director at a Center for Discovery eating disorder program in Greenwich, and is former Director of the Department of Psychiatry at Greenwich Hospital, Yale New Haven Health.
As Director of Integrative Medicine and Psychotherapy of Greenwich since 2002, Dr. Braun collaborates with patients to help them use stress management skills as well as medications, when appropriate. She may use guided mindfulness-based exercises and hypnosis-inspired visualization techniques to help individuals manage anxiety, panic attacks, and social and situational phobias.
Dr. Braun did her residency and fellowship training at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Westchester, where she was Medical Director of the Inpatient Eating Disorders Service and Principal Investigator on an NIMH research study of bright light treatment for Bulimia. She is the author of many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on topics including ADHD, eating disorders, pregnancy, anxiety and depression.
