We highly reccomend Dina Kalnicki. She worked really well with us and our child. She gave us great tools to work with in the future and helped us solve the problems that we were dealing with at the time. She was very accommodating when it came to our appointment times and location. Our child really enjoyed the sessions they had.

My wife and I are so thankful to have found Dr. Kalnicki, who we have been seeing for quite some time. We have a 5 year old son and a 1 year old daughter and her expertise is greatly appreciated. We have gained so much insight into what our children think because of Dr. Kalnicki and that has allowed us to better strengthen our bonds with the kids and has enabled us to be better parents. Also, (being high strung parents) my wife and I have found it very helpful because Dr. Kalnicki is honest and has exceptional expertise in aiding us in particular with what is considered normal development and how best to handle them.

Dr. Kalnicki approaches testing and treatment from the understanding that school or work, family life, social/emotional, and behavioral issues are interconnected; as such, she uses varying techniques to target individualized needs and goals. She offers individual therapy, parenting skills, parent-child therapy, academic skill building, and family therapy.

Dr. Kalnicki specializes in PCIT, a therapeutic intervention to improve child behavior and parent-child interactions, through live coaching (via state of the art electronic equipment from an observation room) to caregivers interacting with their children in a playroom.
Dr. Kalnicki’s newly renovated space includes an office for consultation, testing, and therapy as well as a customized play room for play therapy and PCIT.
Dr. Kalnicki holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology in addition to Masters Degrees in both School Psychology and Mental Health Counseling from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University in addition to an undergraduate degree from Barnard College. Dr. Kalnicki speaks Portuguese and is proficient in Spanish and Hebrew. She resides in Long Island with her incredibly supportive husband and two adorable sons. Dr. Kalnicki is nice, accommodating, seems knowledgeable in her speciality area. However she does not accept insurance. Make sure check with your insurance reimbursements policy before you go.

We highly reccomend Dina Kalnicki. She worked really well with us and our child.
