I absolutely loved Dr. Sridharan. She was super friendly and explained everything. I felt like she took the time to listen and didn't rush through things (the office was very busy, so this could have happened and I'm so glad it did not)! I visited after and was kind of sad to not have her as my doctor again but she was pregnant when I first visited so I figured she was on maternity leave. I hope to see her again!

Dr. Divya Sridharan, the newest addition to StarCare, was raised in Augusta, GA. She has always had a passion in women’s health, and as result, she received her M.D. at the Medical College of Georgia and completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Louisville.
Having recently moved to northern Virginia, she is excited to care for women of all ages from their first gynecologic visit to the postmenopausal years. Whether delivering babies or providing routine gynecologic care, her goal is to help women be healthy during all phases of life. Her focus is on education and preventative health care, contraception, general and high risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery for treatment of heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, and sterilization, and adolescent gynecology. She practices a full range of obstetrics and gynecology and is happily accepting new patients.

I was a new patient so I completed the paperwork in advance. I received two text messages confirming the paperwork was recieved. I showed up on time for my appointment and was asked to complete the same paperwork. After I explained i already had completed the paperwork online, I then completed the paperwork again. Then I waited 30 minutes to see the doctor in the lobby. The nurse took me to the exam room and asked me all the same information i had just written on the intake forms, which made me feel confident that someone had bothered to read it. I then spent another 15 minutes sitting the gown in the exam room still waiting to be seen. When the doctor finally came in she then asked me the exact same questions I'd entered on the paperwork and had just given to the nurse. Which was really comforting that I was in capable hands in an office that communicates well. The doctor was friendly but I was both irritated and lacking confidence in the ability of the office and the doctor. She chose rather than to make me feel better to rush through the exam spending less than 8 minutes with me. And during that time rather than talk to me the doctor and nurse talked about the medical status of other patients, not mentioning names so I'm guessing it wasnt a HIPPA violation, it was just unprofessional. I then had to stop her as she was rushing out the door to find out what was next, when could I expect to get the results back. Her response was if you haven't heard anything from our office in a week call us. Now i admit I was irritated, but who wouldn't be when as a new patient you show up and the office isnt prepared for your appointment despite the forms that they sent to me in advance. Then they had overbooked the doctor so much that there were long wait times and very little actual time being examed by the doctor. This is one of those horrible appointments where if I find out I have breast cancer or uterine cancer and I've had it for months or years it will make sense because the office and nurse definitely don't have it together enough to have detected that. So yeah, I'll just go to another doctor. In fact I'll probably go to my primary care doctor and see if she will reperform these annual exams just so I can feel good that everything has been properly checked.

Dr. Sridharan is very professional, yet makes me comfortable enough to talk with her about "delicate" subjects. She was wonderful, and I am glad I changed from my previous ob-gyn, who was also wonderful, but is retiring before the end of the year.

The office staff was great. The office was clean. The wait was non-existent. The online form filling feature of ZocDoc was great and made things so easy. They just took a copy of my ID and Insurance card and I signed a few documents and sat down. The conversation with the Dr. went well but some of her comments threw me a little. She was very nice and listened very patiently which you don't often find in a Dr. Overall, it was a good visit and I would go back.
