About Dr. Bita Motesharrei

At Women's Global Health of Northern Virginia, our goal is to empower women to improve the quality of their health care through informed decision-making. We are dedicated to providing quality health care through experience and cutting-edge technology with a human touch. Under the leadership of Dr. Motesharrei, we provide comprehensive and global care for women of all ages and backgrounds in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Dr. Motesharrei earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami, graduating magna cum laude. During medical school, she received many honors, including Phi Beta Kappa and the American Medical Women's Association Leadership Award. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University.
Dr. Motesharrei is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a clinical professor of OBGYN at George Washington University School of Medicine, a teaching attending at Inova Fairfax Hospital, and a clinical instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.
She has been involved in research projects and publications with the University of Miami School of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry, and New York University School of Medicine, School of Cell Biology. Her specialties include Adolescent Gynecology, Menopause Consultation, Preconceptional Counseling, High-Risk Obstetrics, Sexual Disorders, Pelvic Pain and Premenstrual Disorders, and Non-Invasive Alternatives to Hysterectomy.
Dr. Motesharrei has been living and practicing medicine in Northern Virginia with her husband and son.
