One year ago Dr. Tuder replaced my right shoilder Today I scheduled an appointment to personally thank him. Well meaning friends warned me of excessive pain, infections and restricted movements. I have had no problems of any kind. They obviously did NOT have Dr. Tuder! I Can move my arm and lift from high shelves, kitchen or carry on and my scar is absolutely minimal. If this does not work out for doctor Tuder, he would make a fine taylor. And he does not possess the white coat syndrome {GOD COMPLEX} Which most doctors suffer. I cannot recommend him HIGHLY ENOUGH!

Dr. Dmitry Tuder was born in Kiev, Ukraine and immigrated to the United States in 1990. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology and graduated magna cum laude from Towson State University in 1995. He earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland in 2000. Dr. Tuder completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery in 2005 at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, followed by a Hand Surgery Fellowship at The Hand Center of San Antonio in 2006. Dr. Tuder proudly served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, where he performed the first-hand transplant in the United States on a female patient. He has earned numerous academic honors as well multiple military awards recognizing his outstanding service. Dr. Tuder is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at USUHS and has published his research in multiple medical journals. He has been invited to present at national and international conferences. Dr. Tuder is a founding member of the South Texas Orthopedic Specialty Group and is a managing partner of the newly renamed Alamo Orthopedics.
Dr. Tuder specializes in a full range of hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder orthopedic services in pediatric and adult patients. Areas of interest include joint replacement surgery (wrist, elbow and shoulder), treatment of nerve injuries, tendon injuries, soft tissue conditions and fractures to name a few.

Dr. Tuder was very professional as well as personable. The wait tine was minimal compared with other MD office appointments I have had. Although the shot hurt, the Dr visit was enjoyable.

I am glad Dr D Tuder was my surgeon. He is very caring and takes time to see his patients and I will recommend him to my family and friends always. He also has a great staff. Everyone makes sure you have exactly what you need like excuses for your work. He's great with his patients.

My visit everytime is great. Everytime I visit with Dr Tuder he is super. He answers all questions & concerns. He takes time to let me know what is going on with my injury & what to expect. He doesn't treat me like a cookie-cutter patient. He treats me as an individual. Thanks for your concern.
