I've been a patient of Dr. Slevin for about 25 years. He's kept me mobile and pain free all this time. He has treated both my knees, my back, and recently my hand. I have clearly spent many visits with Dr. Slevin. His compassion and attentiveness, along with all his sports-related experience, gives me a lot of confidence when I have need for an appointment.
His office functions smoothly, he's always on time and never seems to be in a hurry. I particularly like his conservative thoughtful approach to solving my problems.

Since 1982, Dr. Slevin has practiced orthopedics in Sarasota, specializing in Sports Medicine and disorders of the knee and shoulder. He ran his own Orthopedic Surgical practice for 25 years. Beginning in 2007, Dr. Slevin began limiting his practice to non-surgical orthopedics and currently specializes in conservative management of orthopedic needs. In addition to the shoulder and knee, he also treats general orthopedic problems including fractures.
His approach to treating your aches, pains and injuries is conservative - his primary goal is to try and avoid surgery unless it becomes the most appropriate treatment for your problem. Should surgery be the best solution, Dr. Slevin will refer you to a skilled surgeon who is best suited to perform the necessary procedure.
Practicing in Sarasota for over 30 years, he has spent much of his time treating our "maturing" population and their recreational and sports-related injuries and overuse syndromes.
Dr. Slevin is very comfortable taking care of sports injuries and conditions in patients of all ages, from grammar school children to 80-year-old tennis players and golfers. He spends much of his practice time preserving the sporting lives of his aging patients.

I am not one who likes going to doctors. However, every encounter with Dr. Selvin has bneen excellent! He's cared for my shoulder and my back superbly. His explanations and treatments are never rushed, moreover he follows up afterwards. He really cares.
