Dorette J. Noorhasan, M.D., is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She earned her Doctorate in Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. She subsequently completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at University of Texas – Houston, and her sub-specialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at New Jersey Medical School – University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. While in medical school, Dr. Noorhasan participated in medical missions to Guatemala and Mexico and is conversant in Spanish. Dr. Noorhasan has received numerous awards including the David Rothbaum, M.D. Award in Obstetrics and Gynecology while in medical school, Southern Medical Association Research Grant Award, and the George Schneider Second Prize at the ACOG District VII Annual Meeting. She participated in Frontiers in Reproduction’s intense, six-week Reproductive Biology course as well as the Berlex Foundation Faculty Development Workshop. Dr. Noorhasan has also published several articles in Human Reproduction, Fertility and Sterility, and Women’s Health Issues. Dr. Noorhasan understands both the physiological and the psychological aspects of a woman diagnosed with infertility. She is the author of the chapter “Does Psychiatric Diagnosis Affect Fertility Outcomes?” in the book entitled “Women’s Reproductive Mental Health Across the Lifespan.” Dr. Noorhasan is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility as well as the Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society.
