Dr. Doug Hansen, MD earned his medical degree with honors at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his residency training at St. Anthony Hospital here in Denver. Dr. Hansen is the only triple board-certified Family Physician, Clinical Lipidologist, and Nutrition Specialist in the country. Dr. Hansen has been practicing in Denver since 1999, and in addition to his clinical practice, serves as Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Hansen is a nationally-featured speaker focusing on heart disease, hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes, and nutrition He has been featured on NBC’s TodayShow.com and MSNBC and has contributed to many books and publications including Breakthroughs in Natural Healing 2012 and Building Foundations for Change from the bestselling “Wake Up and Live the Life You Love” Series.

Dr. Hansen was very friendly and was very thorough with explaining the diagnosis and prescription options available. Took the time to listen to my needs and concerns and was very patient throughout the whole appointment. Scheduling staff was very friendly and the wait time in the lobby was short. I was in and out of the clinic in under 45 minutes! Will be going back to see Dr. Hansen.
