This woman is very bright and sincerely caring. She offers her expertise, gives you options as to what you would like to do given the situation. I felt completely secure that her decisions were in my best interest. Even though I was a little late (difficult to find the office) they were still able to see me, without rushing me through.

Dr. Duyen Faria is a graduate of The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Faria holds a Master's degree in Pharmacology from the University of Texas in Austin. Her residency experience includes: Family Practice, Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, followed by Dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. There, she joined the dermatology teaching staff for 6 years and held a leadership role in clinical research and co-chaired the Wound Healing Center. Over the years, her focus has diversified to be more holistic with integration of herbs, nutrition, vitamin, food, laser and cosmetic procedures. She is board certified by The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (AOCD). Dr. Faria started EXCEL Dermatology in 1999.

I had struggled with mysterious debilitating wounds on my face for months... Dr. Faria healed my face in a matter of 2 weeks. A feat I could not have imagined at the time of my first appointment. Right off the bat she was the sweetest woman who I could tell genuinely cared about my well being. We talked for a bit and quickly she knew how to heal the problem that had plagued me and reassured me that she would be able heal my skin. Her confidence was comforting. She was knowledgeable when it came to not only my delicate skin and wounds, but also the entirety of the human body. She has a holistic approach which I loved. We changed my skin through diet, medication, and a more holistic approach. She took time to actually listen to my body and was able to help discover things other Dr.'s had been missing for months- now I suspect years. My skin is cured which is all I ever wanted, however I ended up with so much more post treatment. I now have a much better grasp on how to feed, treat, and listen to my body.

Dr Faria is an excellent doctor. It took only one visit for her to successfully diagnose and treat me. The office is efficiently run by a highly professional staff.

- I have been coming ti Dr Farias practice for several years. She has made great improvements in my skin care.
- In addition she has a holistic practice advising me on nutrition. Thanks to her I have lost 50 pounds and my general health has greatly improved.

I have been a patient if Dr. Faria for years and she never ceases to amaze me. She is very through, takes the time to explain everything she is doing, and is kind, compassionate, and has a great sense of humor. One time my mom was visiting me from out of state and had a serious problem from a wound that wasn't healing. I called Dr. Faria and she saw her the same day and each of the next three days until Dr. Faria felt she was healed enough to be out of danger. We are all very grateful for her help. I take my children & husband to Dr. Faria and recommend her to anyone that asks for the name of an excellent dermatologist.
