About Paulina Proska Crouse
Lina attended George Washington University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology, and minored in Emergency Medicine, Criminal Justice, and German. Lina then attended Thomas Jefferson University, where she earned her Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She is experienced in treating all skin, nail, and hair disorders. She has a passion for the detection, treatment, and prevention of skin cancer and is dedicated to educating her patients about the importance of sun protection and receiving a regular Total-Body Skin Cancer Exam. She focuses on clinical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

I received a referral order from my PCP and booked an appointment at Advanced Dermatology. It took 45 minutes sitting in the waiting room for the (very brusque) receptionist to tell me that they can't do anything without a referral (who knew a referral and referral order were different things?!). Had to reschedule my appointment and am still chasing down an actual referral from my PCP. Huge waste of time and I don't know whether to blame the PCP, dermatology office, or insurance.
Zocdoc/the derm office sent me approximately 1 million email/phone reminders for this appointment, but no one bothered to mention what I actually needed to bring.

I came in for a skin check and RX. The skin check was not thorough and it’s three weeks later and the RXs still. Haven’t been sent to my pharmacy as promised. That’s despite four calls to their nurse’s line voicemail. It’s impossible to get a human on the phone.

I absolutely recommend Paulina! Both her and Rylan the medical assistant were super friendly informative, and took the time to answer questions as well as explain what they were doing, and what they were looking for. The practice itself seems to have figured out how to develop a system where everyone communicates and is on the same page. I recommend Paulina and this practice.

She was nice, very kind. I waited 45 minutes before getting seen. It was also first thing in the morning so a little strange to be that backed up so early. Expect to wait a long time before you get in to see the provider.

The doctor and nurse were great, along with the other staff. But the Zocdoc reminders were annoying beyond belief. You should give people the opportunity for ONE-TIME confirmation versus the barrage approach. In the two days leading up to the appointment I received more than 4 separate texts, and four separate phone calls, all AFTER I had already confirmed. This is enough to make me try another appointment provider next time.
