Dr. Cavazos joins LifeStance Outpatient Services as a member of our team of psychiatrists, at our 4242 Medical Drive location. Dr. Cavazos was granted a full Army scholarship to attend medical school and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He did his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. After completing his four year residency in psychiatry, he became the Chief of Inpatient Psychiatric Care at Ireland Community Hospital, Fort Knox, Kentucky. He left the Army after completing his eight years of service as a Major. A member of various medical associations, he pursues being a vocal advocate for patient care and patient rights.
A national, state and local guest lecturer on child, adolescent and adult psychiatric topics, Dr. Cavazos came to LifeStance as a native Texan, after serving as the medical director for several of the largest behavioral health organizations for the past 25 years. His current primary focus has been on the treatment of ADHD in children, adolescents and adults.
