I've spoken with Dr. Leonardo on several occassions and I would highly recommend him to any family member or friend. You would find him to be approchable and calming, two characteristics that I believed are required for any therapist.
Dr. Leonardo is a very attentive, mild mannered, and thoughtful psychiatrist. His bedside manner and professionalism are top notch. He is patient and comforting during office visits. The location in mid-town Manhattan is convenient and his office space is comfortable. He is willing (when appropriate) to try new treatment and to take your care in a different direction if you are not having success with prior methods. I would highly recommend Dr. Leonardo as a psychiatrist.
