Dr. Raez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Originally from Peru, South America, Dr. Raez earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, and completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brook Army Medical Center.
He spent his early specialty years in the military, where he distinguished himself as an exemplary instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and was honored by the Council of Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) with the National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education.
Dr. Raez has vast experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and confidently takes care of both, routine and high-risk obstetrics patients alike. His comprehensive range of surgical capabilities include minimally invasive procedures (laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, LASER, and robotic procedures), as well as vaginal surgery, which allow him to tailor the most appropriate treatment for each of his patients.
His primary interests in Gynecology center on pre and post-menopausal female care, pelvic organ relaxation problems, urinary problems, urinary incontinence and hormonal replacement therapy.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Bexar County Medical Society, and the San Antonio Obstetrics and Gynecology Society. Dr. Raez is fluent in Spanish, and enjoys kayaking, hiking and biking. He is married and has two children.

I found him to be creepy. This was my first time seeing a doctor in San Antonio (I'm from Ohio) and I would never go back to this one. He made comments about my weight and when my blood pressure tested slightly high he asked "are you nervous?.. Did you think I was gonna spank you?..."Ummm...I guess he's a "joker" by the reviewsm but that is just not what i expect from a medical professional.
