Dr. Galen is a graduate of Oregon Health and Sciences University. He completed his internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and his Internal Medicine Residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University before a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Medical College of Virginia. He remained on the faculty at the Medical College of Virginia where his research focused on hepatitis, before returning to Portland where he joined the clinical faculty of Oregon Health and Sciences University. He joined Northwest Gastroenterology Clinic in 1989.
His interests include Diseases of the Liver, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Colon Cancer.
