I came in with a shoulder pain that I thought was a rotator cuff injury. Dr. Yang examined my shoulder, had x-rays taken and found the cause which was actually a little arthritic inflammation. He was even able to steer me away from exercises that were aggravating the condition and recommend alternative exercises. A good doctor.

Edward Yang, MD, is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Chief of Orthopaedics at Mount Sinai Queens. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and he completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the NYU Langone Medical Center’s Hospital for Joint Diseases. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Yang has been a faculty member of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai since 1989. He specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries including fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains, as well as total joint replacements and skeletal reconstruction of nonunion and malunion. Dr. Yang previously held the position of Regional Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Elmhurst Hospital Center and Queens Medical Center. He has published several peer reviewed articles and is also conducting research on hip fractures.
A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Yang is also an active member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the Academic Orthopaedic Society, the American Fracture Association and the Chinese American Medical Society. He has received awards in teaching and service and is also an Honorary Police Surgeon of the City of New York.

He requested I bring X-rays and old MRI. Never got my full history and didn’t attempt to solve nor think about my knee issue. Gave me some advice that did absolutely nothing for my problem.
I convinced him to schedule a new MRI, his office never followed up. After numerous attempts, I was able to get through to them and they said they couldn’t get an authorization from my insurance because xrays were necessary and they wanted for me to go to see the doctor again to obtain them. Mind you, these xrays were supposed to be done the first time I saw him, when he decided I needed the MRI - and why my insurance declined the MRI.
I never came to see him again. I never even heard from the office ever again.
Stop treating patients as if it’s a factory. My insurance paid you several hundred bucks for your 4 minutes of seeing me.
Horrible.

Dr. Edward Yang was very professional and concise on what I needed to do for my backpain. The waiting time was short and everything went quick. He also gave me the list of exercises I needed to do and put a check on the exercises I needed to focus on. He is just great and I totally recommend him to everyone.

If Dr Yang was a waiter, he greeted me, took my order, brought my drink, and then brought the check. He did his job, but bare minimum of compassion, advice, and acting like he cared even the least bit about being there. I’m sure he is an adequate physician, but it’s obvious he has a disconnect that he’s dealing with actual people and their long term health and quality of life. I’m seeking a second opinion

To be frank, the appointment with Dr. Yang, felt rushed quite a bit and he was talking a bit too much with his PA student then I'd like. He told me that he treats ONLY the arm and leg so any other parts of the body I needed treatment for he wouldn't be able to help me. However the location was prompt in doing the X-rays and the facility was clean.

Quick, painless! took us longer to find parking! I love efficiency, and i definitely appreciate that Dr Yang (despite having 2 PA's in the room) put my cast on himself!
I used to have an orthopedist in Nassau for my frequent ankle sprains because i'm an ogre, but I have decided to make Yang my #1. Would recommend him to any of my friends & family.
