“I recently visited Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine in West Orange and saw Dr. Griffin, along with the lab tech and front desk team. From check-in to check-out, everything was very quick and efficient. Dr. Griffin was excellent – he listened carefully, clearly explained what was going on with my knee, and gave me a diagnosis that finally made sense.
The lab tech was professional and gentle, and the front desk staff were friendly and organized, which made the whole visit smooth. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this office for anyone dealing with knee issues.

“Wait time longer than expected. i was glad they were able to do and read xrays right away. Staff were all warm, friendly and attentive. Dr. G was thorough and explained findings and treatment recommendations. When I said I had to leave for an appt at a certain time, they went out of their way to remedy any delay. I would recommend Dr Mathew Griffin and the Westfield office without reservation. ”

About Dr. Matthew P. Griffin
Dr. Griffin is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who practices concussion medicine, sports medicine, and non-surgical orthopedics. He treats a range of conditions including: sprains/strains, concussion, arthritis and disorders of the joints, and sports related injuries including injuries to the hips, knees, shoulders, neck, and back. He has extensive experience in MSK ultrasound and various therapies such as Tenjet tenotomy, platelet rich plasma (PRP), Lipogems, adipose and BMAC stem cell injections. Dr. Griffin holds IMPACT certification for the treatment of concussions and is recognized as a preferred provider in this area. He works extensively with concussion patients both through telemedicine and in his offices, achieving excellent results and maintaining a large base of doctor referrals due to his extensive experience with this patient population. Dr. Griffin sees adult patients 18 years of age or older. He received his medical degree from St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Brown University Program in Providence, RI.
