I just think there is too much testing. I'm looking for a primary Dr and someone to deal with certain issues. i feel I did not need a food allergy test and some of the other testing that is recommended

Went to establish a new doctor, but was only seen by a nurse practitioner with the medical assistant present. Insisted on seeing the doctor who was busy walking around and he came in and told me that you only get to see the doctor if you ask at the desk when you arrive. I was not accustomed to this and told him so. Told him that it would not take more than 3-5 minutes for him to introduce himself to his new patients and then pass them on to the nurse practitioner. There was no privacy during this appointment and left with a lot of testing which was in my opinion not entirely necessary.

I only got to see him once. He seems to be very thorough. But, he doesn't like it when I got upset about my results. I have been diagnosed with lupus, severe rheumatoid arthritis, and blood disorder. It's great how he has ordered all these different types of tests, but I'm not getting any relief for my pain. He referred me to an outside rheumatologist, which I still haven't gotten an appointment. They seem to not understand the amount of pain I'm experiencing everyday. I can hardly walk, now I can hardly lift up my right arm,and there are days that I can't get out of bed. And, he was supposed to have ordered me the pain relieving knee braces, which I still haven't heard anything about. Don't get me wrong, he does know about his profession and is very good in that way.
