Dr. Eileen Niren opened her dermatology practice in the Roswell/Alpharetta area in 1986 after completing a residency in Dermatology at Emory University. She holds Lifetime Board Certification in Dermatology.
Prior to her specialty training at Emory, she interned at Brown University in internal medicine. At age 17 she was accepted to both college and medical school at Boston University, and completed both her undergraduate and medical studies in their accelerated and prestigious 6-year BA-MD program in 1982.
In addition to general dermatology, Dr. Niren oversees the aesthetic part of her practice (light peels and microdermabrasion) and is the only injector of Botox, Dysport, Sculptra, Juvederm and Restylane.
Namita Kumar, PA-C, joined Preston Ridge Dermatology in early 2008 and is licensed by the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners and maintains certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. As a certified Physician Assistant under Dr. Niren's supervision, she examines and treats all general dermatology conditions that include acne, rashes, warts and skin cancer screenings. She performs surgical procedures such as skin biopsies, and the removal of moles and cysts.

Dr. Niren and her staff provide the most up-to-date dermatology services in an individualized, caring and efficient manner. Dr. Niren is very thorough in explaining treatment options and answering questions. Her medical knowledge, skills and bedside manner are outstanding.
