Dr. Eskander received her medical degree, with honors, from Texas A&M University, where she received the Internal Medicine Medical Student of the Year Award. She then completed residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, where she excelled and was selected as Chief Medical Resident. Following residency and chief residency, she completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Diabetes, Metabolism and Endocrinology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and UCLA’s Veteran’s Affairs Hospital, training under world renowned specialists in the field.
Dr. Eskander’s treatment philosophy is to empower her patients by educating them on their disease, and has received several awards throughout her career recognizing her excellence in medical teaching and outstanding patient care. She uses a team approach with her patients to develop a treatment plan that best suits them, and feels that each patient should be treated as a family member. Her patients have continuously recognized her for her hands-on style and compassionate treatment of their disease.
Dr. Eskander specializes in diabetes, thyroid disease, calcium disorders and parathyroid disease, PCOS, pituitary disease, low testosterone and hormonal imbalances, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, metabolism and weight loss, as well as other hormone-related diseases.

Extremely poor follow up. The doctor ordered additional tests and scheduled a follow up appointment. When I arrived for the appointment, the office did not have my test results so there was no purpose in me being there, i.e. - nothing to review. I've never gone back. The doctor is quite pleasant, but the office functioning ability and organization is less than desirable....quite frustrating.

First, my wait time was a little lengthy, considering I got there pretty much on time. Also, the staff at the front desk had trouble retrieving my medical information that I had taken so much time and effort to prepare prior to my visit to avoid having to do paperwork when I got there. The doctor was quite pleasant and attentive. She worked hard to try to furnish me with answers to my questions. Also, I liked that in spite of the situation I was in, she tried to remain solution-oriented. I was a little surprised, however, as I expected more of a solution and more direction. There are some points on which she could have been more thorough, and I am not sure she was on target with some of her evaluations. Lastly, I think her technology (as far as testing) is a little outdated.
