I was the first patient of the day so I shouldn't have had to wait as long as I did but once I was in there she was great.

I would like to start off by saying that Dr. Gomori a very sweet woman and I hate leaving reviews in the negative. However, the wait times are asinine and not worth it, especially for a simple annual physical I spent nearly four hours at her office today.
This is my fourth visit to her and I knew that I would be in for a little bit of a wait as she does take her time. However this time I waited a solid TWO AND A HALF HOURS before even going into the room. Everyone else, even people that arrived after me, went in and left before I was called in. (I’d like to clarify that I was 5 mins early to my appointment).
An hour into my wait, I asked the (always impersonal and rude) receptionist how many people were in front of me and she said she “didn’t know”. How can you not know?
At the 2 hour mark I spoke up again and the receptionist said the doctor was on the phone with the hospital (ok) and it would be “one more minute”. That lasted nearly thirty mins before getting called in.
I then waited another ten mins in the room. We begin my exam and I barely hear what she’s saying because I was fuming after no apology and all I wanted to do was walk out after waiting so long. She was called out in the middle of my EKG to attend to a patient in the hospital (that’s ok) but I was left with my breasts out and tape and wire all over my chest.
I try to be understanding because I also work in a field that relies on appointments and waiting times. But this is beyond what is reasonable.
Also, there are better ways to handle this. When I walked in, the receptionist told several people that Dr. Gomori was running very late. How about a courtesy call beforehand?
Dr. Gomori, I always enjoyed our appointments together but today was the last time that you will see me, as I will be looking for a new general practitioner.
October 18, 2019Julie K.Verified patient
I appreciate that she wants to spend a lot of time with each patient but she shouldn't schedule so many people into tight times if she plans to talk forever with all of them.
More than 1 year agoInitials hidden
Very unprofessional, there is a difference with bedside care and wasting ppl time. She left me in the room for 30 mins and didnt see another patient in that time. She is disrespectful of ppl time.
April 26, 2019Leslyn V.Verified patient
Showed up 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment time but ended up waiting 2 hours to be seen. When signing in I noticed another patient on Dr. Gomori's sign-in sheet was listed at the same time as my appointment which I found highly odd and a bit unethical if they are double booking appointment slots.
Dr. Gomori is fantastic once you're able to get in and see her but seems like her office's organization and scheduling abilities could use a MASSIVE overhaul.

I had to cancel the appointment. I waited almost one and a half hour to see her. Then she came in and asked,me questions which was nice, mannerly and kind. However she proceed to ask me to wear gown and then left me waiting for her another 30 mins at which, time I got dressed and cancelled the visit
March 27, 2019Leslyn V.Verified patient
Waited over an hour for my scheduled appointment and was told it was because the doctor is very thorough with her patients but really she was just slow and chatty. I missed the call when my results came in and when I called back, she had the receptionist deliver my results which was incredibly unprofessional. I was also told by the doctor the results would be available online which was false. They mailed me my results and forgot a page.
I also experienced many billing issues and frustrations with my visit.

Perhaps it was an anomaly, I hope it was an anomaly, but I had an appointment for 1:30pm, which the office confirmed. I arrived at 1:15pm and didn't get into a room to see Dr. Gomori until 3:30pm. I am not exaggerating.
It is also worth mentioning that someone with a 1:45pm appointment with the same doctor (I am 90% sure) was seen before me.
Other than the wait, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Gomori. Given how patience and thorough the Dr. is, it seems they should just schedule fewer appointments, but again. Maybe my experience was unlike others.
Lastly, the other employees in the office are very kind and accommodating.

She was very helpful. Asked a lot of questions, and really seemed to care about my issues. I’ve been blown off by so many cardiologist due to my age, and this was not the case with her.
November 28, 2018Kyetra W.Verified patient
Dr Gomori was great! She took a very long time with me (which is why the waiting room wait is long). She went through every detail of my medical history and really listened to my concerns. She takes strong initiative but will consult you on next steps and make you ver comfortable. I highly recommend!
November 27, 2018Emily L.Verified patient
While waiting to see Dr. Gomori, the receptionist and a male coworker (Caucasian) decided to have a discussion about "blackface". I was the only African American person in the waiting area. As the receptionist continued the discussion, a patient looked at me. I informed Dr. Gomori of the incident. Her response, "We do not look at a person's color. We take care of all kinds of people. We have some Black workers." No one should be subjected to racist remarks and/or conversations when seeking medical assistance!

Dr. Gomori was really amazing and genuinely took the time to address all of my concerns. I went in for a annual physical and had a few additional concerns I wanted to discuss. She was very kind and extremely thorough!
The only slight downside, especially since I am a new patient, my wait this morning was a bit long. That being said when you find a great Doctor I feel it's worth it!
April 27, 2018Initials hidden
She was wonderful, but the wait time was out of control, almost two hours. I spoke with some other patients in the waiting room and they said this was normal for the doctor.
More than 1 year agoCharlotte P.Verified patient
Dr. Gomori is excellent and embodies the rare breed of PCP's who add value by coordinating care, brain storming, planning and is connected enough to make good recommendations when a specialist is needed. The wait, even when showing up early for appointments, is exceptionally bad compared to all others doctors I have been to in NYC. That factor alone is a big deterrent. However a good PCP who is on their game is really hard to come by, so one must pick their battles.
February 9, 2018Initials hidden
A long wait, but it is because she spends a lot of time with each patient. She saw me for something irregular because I couldn't get in to see another specialist. Always does what she can to help.
More than 1 year agoInitials hidden
Dr. Gomori is by far the best. She will take her time to talk to you and make sure you are happy with the outcome. She will check everything that you do not feel comfortable with. If she feels like you should see anyone she can recommend she will tell you. She has a bunch of great staff colleagues and she is super knowledgeable in a variety of things.
