Dr. Callahan, founder of SkinSmart Dermatology and the Skin Fitness Center in Sarasota, FL is a board certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon.
Dr. Callahan graduated from the University of Vermont Medical School where she earned her medical degree. She served her post-graduate residency in dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH, serving as chief resident her final year. In 2002 she completed a post-graduate fellowship in Dermatologic Surgery/Cosmetics and Mohs Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Surgery, member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine.
In her work as a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, Dr. Callahan focuses on total skin fitness for her patients and strives to give them the best looking skin possible – often using a combination of medical, surgical and cosmetic skills. She describes herself as the dermatologic equivalent of a personal trainer.
Currently, Dr. Callahan is an injectable trainer for multi-national companies like Allergan and Medicis where she trains other physicians on the techniques of injecting products such as Botox, Dysport, Restylane and Juvederm.
