My visit with Dr. E. Stein was as always, very informative, very caring, and overall excellent patient care and service. She has been my GYN doctor for at least a dozen years. I can't think of changing her.

inherent in midwifery.
Surgery, if needed, is performed by her back-up physician, Dr. Brian Park (obstetrician/gynecologist). Elizabeth delivers at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Elizabeth Stein completed her midwifery education at Columbia
University in New York City, and holds Master's Degrees in Nursing and
in Public Health. Elizabeth has been certified by the American College of
Nurse Midwives since 1985 and is licensed in New York State. She has
extensive experience with high-risk pregnancies as well as normal
obstetrics and gynecology.

I don't like that she will only give a 6-month prescription for birth control. My high deductible insurance will only pay for 1 office visit per year, so here system makes it very expensive for me.

This was my first appointment with Elizabeth Stein and she was wonderful. She asked every question I could have wanted her to and was interested in all of my answers. She was also extremely warm in all of our interactions--when she saw me in the waiting room, during our session, and as I was leaving.
Unfortunately I cannot say the same for her staff. They acted as if I was a nuisance to them. I was not greeted when I arrived and when I asked any questions the lady behind the desk stared at me like I was an idiot. Both employees need to smile more and act like they want to be working there and, most importantly, be there for the patients. They also need to know more about the insurance providers they take. Thankfully, Elizabeth's aura outshone their attitudes and I will happily see her again.

New to the city and booked my annual checkup apt with her on a whim- left very happy to have found such a great obgyn right off the bat! She was very kind and very thorough on questions and explanations (birth control etc). Will definitely be going back!

Loved meeting with her. Was not uncomfortable at all. No crazy wait. She was no nonsense but not in a bad way. Told me what I needed to know and my best options without sugar coating anything. Was able to complete my visit in a lunch hour. Really really wise.
