Whether you are a young adult struggling with “adulting”, a new mom feeling overwhelmed, or anyone finding it difficult to build and maintain lasting relationships, you are likely wanting more from your life. I want to work with you to rediscover your identity, understand the impact of past experiences, set healthy boundaries, make confident decisions, and build the life you want. Together we can explore the emotions, thoughts, & feelings you have, to create insight & make changes in the way you interact with the world.
I grew up in Austin, Texas and I graduated from University of Texas at Austin with my PhD in counseling psychology. I feel passionate about helping people build the life they want to live. My treatment philosophy is holistic, utilizing an integrative approach to tailor treatment to the needs of each patient at an individual level. I enjoy working with patients to identify patterns and behaviors that are holding them back from living their most fulfilled life. I work collaboratively with patients and work to build an environment of trust and curiosity where patients feel heard and understood. I am passionate about what I do and value the connection I have with each patient. I approach therapy with empathy, support, honesty, some humor, and productive challenging to help you make the changes you are looking for.
I enjoy working with adults to address concerns related to pregnancy/postpartum, difficulties in relationships, past trauma, and life transitions. I draw from psychodynamic, humanistic, interpersonal, and person-centered approaches and utilize attachment and developmental theories. I also have training in ACT, CBT, MI, and DBT and will utilize aspects of these orientations when useful.
