Being the Founder and Medical Director of ProMed since 2007, Dr. Argote is a highly trained physician and surgeon with a diverse education and over 30+ years of experience in orthopedic surgery, family and procedural medicine. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Community Hospitals of Indianapolis, and has the latest training in family medicine and is board certified.
Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Argote completed his medical training and an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the Pontifical Xavierian University Faculty of Medicine (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Facultad de Medicina). He further specialized in arthroscopy and joint reconstructive surgery by completing a fellowship in the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York.
At ProMed, Dr. Argote and his team provide comprehensive care of multiple medical conditions for all ages. We provide healthcare services including musculoskeletal problems (joint and spine conditions, arthroscopy), diagnostic imaging capabilities (X-ray, ultrasound), in-house laboratory, and office-based small surgical procedures (ultrasound-guided injections & biopsies, skin lesions, scar correction, and more).

I have been going to PromptMed for more than a decade and have left more than a handful of reviews, that being said I cannot say enough about the quality experience there. This review is similar to others and demonstrating how well they do everything but the consistency is above all the most important factor which is worth highlighting and noting.Extremely accessible, reliable, constructively informative, support staff is diligent. A great practice that is adaptable situationally, and a unique combination of experience with procedural medicine and more of the routine family doctor elements as well make this office of professionals a second choice to no one, Should be your first choice. Great doctor patient relationship, steady staff, great continuity, I always feel like I’ve said everything great I can but I always get reminded more often than not whenever I come here why I am a patient here.
Consistency is impressive, great focus on each patient, he listens and recommends in a way that exudes confidence that makes the patient feel taken care of.

I've been Dr. Argote's patient for many years now, and he along with his office and medical staff have consistently been most professional, accommodating and most importantly, caring.
The atmosphere is undeniably family-like in the midst of a large city. I have also really appreciated that ProMed has two very easy to find locations, on the NE and West sides, which has been a true blessing for scheduling appointments.
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Argote to anyone looking for medical care. Thumbs up!

Dr argote was not very helpful. He not only did not address my main concern, he gave me samples to a very expensive medication that I cant afford to take. His office makes you pay more than your co-pay if you haven't met your deductible. Seems they only want to cater to spanish speaking patients.

Doctor Argote and PROMED as a whole is somewhat of a rare luxury ...first off, in the sense that their accessibility in terms of logistics and wait time is second to none.
Make no mistake; this does not mean that they have a lack of patients or are not busy. Quite the contrary....
However, their unique focus on quality and maintaining client base with responsible and manageable, steady growth, results often in not only time efficient visits that can conveniently be as professionally prompt or lengthy as needed by the patient, but almost creates a ‘too good to be true’ type of perception that is actually very real! -everything that happens is with purpose and his accessibility and flexibility is very real while his bedside manner, as ‘they’ say is terrific.
I have been a patient for well over 10 years and have referred a number of people and all have retained his services to date.
Beyond the notion of just being a doctor and the trivial aspect of people feeling comfortable because of someone’s qualification, he puts you at ease regardless of the situation or in a state that allows you to clearly get the best understanding possible of your situation no matter how dynamic or seemingly inadvertent/routine it may be.
Common sense health ABC’s along with an evolving and complete understanding of the medical industry as a whole....with experience all over the world over many years, makes this practice ideal for anyone in the Indianapolis or outside area looking for a great family doctor with increasingly rare but important focuses ..Including an emphasis on procedural medicine with unbridled experience to back it up.
-In addition the POMED practice is dedicated to bilingual communication and a fully bilingual staff, providing critical and quality service/treatment to the Hispanic community, and people of all walks of life in their diverse network of patients. All with a wide array of challenges and needs, consistently and expertly met by ProMed time and time again.

The visit was very educational. The nurse were very professional. With COVID19 they were dedicated to keeping their patience healthy by only allowing a couple of patients in at a time. They checked out temperature before upon entrance of the building. The doctor was super friendly and put my fears at ease instantly. He educated me how to correct the problem in the long run even though he provided me with medication today. I will definitely return.

Dr. Argote is awesome! He’s very knowledgeable and listens to the patients needs or issues to provide the proper care. If we need to be seen, it’s not a problem to get scheduled with him. It took a while to find a good PCP and I’m so glad we landed on Dr. Argote’s practice.

We waited weeks to get in and when we get there they tell us they do not accept Medicare. A phone call would of been nice ahead of time since they knew as soon as they asked for name. I get Zocdoc lets u schedule out of network doctors but when ur insurance clearly shows Medicare and they do not call this was upsetting. Now we have to wait another 3-4 weeks and find another doctor.

I walked in and went straight to the back which was a plus however when I see the doctor I spend a good 5 min in the office with no real answers it’s all I don’t know let’s do more test and when those results come back it’s still about how he does not know. I needed medical paperwork signed to turn in to work and he refused to sign it saying even though everything that keeps me from work is legit he does not like doing the paperwork and told the receptionist that he would think about signing it but I wouldn’t know if he did or didn’t

I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time (already sent the paperwork) and when I came in the person before me was ALSO waiting for Dr. Argote. After about 30 minutes I finally got vitals taken. The nurses were niceish, but not Indiana friendly. They did not explain the purpose/results of the tests and asked me many questions already answered in my paperwork.
Now for the actual doctor. I came in for a basic check up, and long-term prescription refills. He was friendly and approachable. He seemed somewhat receptive to my concerns (getting an EpiPen) but at the end he did not prescribe it. No explanation- maybe he forgot? After Dr. Argote's assessment I spent another 15 minutes waiting for refill slips and lab requests. The prescriptions were for a 90 day supply, no refills. For medications I've been taking for years!
In total I spent 90 minutes for something I could do at a MinuteClinic in 15. Overall I'd give it 2 stars. I'm planning to find something closer (maybe better) long term.
