Dr. Appelbaum completed his undergraduate degree with honors at Loyola University Chicago and his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine with a distinction in research. He went on to perform his residency training in Otolaryngology at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Most recently, he completed a 2-year ACGME accredited clinical and research fellowship in Neurotology (Adult and Pediatric Neurotologic Surgery) at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Appelbaum is a member of the American Neurotology Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is currently a board member for the Metro Atlanta Educational Society for Otolaryngology.
