Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
CA
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience in psychiatry, dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized care in a setting where you can feel safe, respected, and heard. My goal is to create a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment, stigma, or impact on your personal or professional life. I work with adolescents and adults and treat a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other mood or thought-related concerns. I take a balanced, evidence-based approach that may include medication management, supportive therapy, and practical strategies you can apply in your daily life. I believe that mental health care should be collaborative. You are the expert on your own experience, and I am here to guide, educate, and support you in making informed decisions about your treatment. Whether you are seeking help for the first time or continuing care, I focus on building a plan that fits your needs, your goals, and your values. Patients often appreciate my calm, straightforward approach and the time I take to truly listen. My priority is to help you feel more stable, more in control, and better equipped to move forward with confidence. PRACTICE POLICY REGARDING ADHD AND CONTROLLED MEDICATIONS IF A COMPREHENSIVE PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION SUPPORTS A DIAGNOSIS OF ADHD, I TAKE A CONSERVATIVE, SAFETY-FOCUSED APPROACH TO TREATMENT, INCLUDING CONSIDERATION OF NON-STIMULANT OPTIONS WHEN APPROPRIATE. FOR PATIENT SAFETY, I DO NOT PRESCRIBE STIMULANT MEDICATIONS IN COMBINATION WITH BENZODIAZEPINES.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a space where your concerns are taken seriously. I value clear communication, honesty, and follow-through. My approach is always collaborative—your autonomy is respected, and you are involved in every decision about your care. I focus on practical, evidence-based treatment, whether that includes therapy, medication, or both. My goal is not just symptom relief but helping you function better and feel more in control of your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with a comprehensive initial evaluation where I take time to understand your history, current concerns, and goals. From there, I develop a clear, individualized treatment plan. Follow-up visits are focused and goal-oriented—we assess progress, adjust treatment as needed, and address any concerns directly. I prioritize consistency and improvement, while still remaining flexible based on how you respond to treatment
