As a healthcare worker I pride myself on my ethic to always serve my patients with their needs placed above all else. This translates to command of my specialty, but also delivery of care that shows authentic concern for my clients and a willingness to leave no stone unturned to serve them to the absolute best of my ability. Dr. Ahmed demonstrated this during my visit with him today. I felt completely at ease in spite of having had a prior retinal tear and several bouts of optic nerve hypertension. Vision is priceless beyond words and to have had his care in light of my history, was terrific. He was patient, thorough, and clearly an expert. I'm beyond grateful for his excellent care and will gladly see him again for my future needs.

Dr. Ahmed grew up locally in Springfield, Virginia. He completed his undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Dr. Ahmed then attended Baylor College of Medicine, where he served as Class President and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha as one of the top members of his class.
Dr. Ahmed finished his ophthalmology residency training at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital, the #2 ranked program in the nation. He specializes in refractive cataract surgery and is certified in the latest technology, including utilizing the femtosecond laser for premium lens implants. Dr. Ahmed also treats external surface disease, and is excited to offer the iStent implant to treat mild to moderate glaucoma.
