It was a really horrible experience. I went to see the doctor with severe food poisoning and never received any treatment from him. He asked me about my family history and looked at the medications that I use, said that I looked like a "healthy girl" and prescribed me OVER-THE-COUNTER pills, that I told him I already tried and they didn't work for me. I actually had to go to another doctor for treatment.
I didn't want to write a bad review first, but then I received a bill!!! The office tried to claim to my insurance regular visit with the full price and also an age specific check-up with the full price as well!!! My insurance covered one, so they billed me the second one. I was furious. I've never received an age specific check-up from this doctor. So the office said that I should not pay the bill and they will let their billing company know not to send me another one. I hope it's been done.
But I definitely will never come back to this doctor.

Long wait. Very unfriendly staff. The back room where I was taken to speak with the doctor smelled like food, remnants of which were all over the table and the doctor's hands which were about to examine my throat. Most of the conversation had nothing to do with my diagnosis or plan of treatment. After looking in my mouth for a few second Dr. Sherman wrote me a prescription and that's it. That is the whole visit. No diagnosis or explanation of the symptoms, nothing. He was, however, insisting that I go to a lab to have a blood test done (with no explanation why, even though I said I had one done a few months prior) and insisting that I make another appointment in a few days, so that he can see how I am doing. It seems all this doctor is interested in is racking up easy appointments where all he has to do is write a prescription. This office does not even do blood work, you get sent to a lab to get it done and have to come back to get the results.

Beware! If you need a real doctor this office is not for you! Came here with my husband who was ill with symptoms of the flu or a cold. The wait was an hour. The receptionists were not friendly to say the least. Busy talking about makeup and having more kids they paid little to no attention to anything going on in the office. The office itself is very old and dilapidated, with dim lighting and clutter. The entire time we were speaking with the doctor he was picking out chunks of soup out of his teeth with his fingers. The chunks were partially left on his fingers and partially on a dirty napkin that rested on top of charts, documents and other papers. There was a dirty spoon with pieces of carrot in the middle of the table. The conversation consisted mostly of explaining to us how he has gotten a bad review on ZocDoc and little about the reason we were there. Without any examination at first the doc started to write a prescription, stopped himself and called my husband into another room where he spent 30 seconds looking into his throat, listened to his chest and that is it. No taking temperature, no checking the blood pressure and pulse. With the words: 'He'll live." Dr. Sherman wrote a prescription and sent us on our way. Also, beware of the fact that this office does not do any blood work. You will be sent to a lab to only have to come back to the doctor to get the results. This is the issue that was described in the bad review the doc was talking about. From the words of Dr. Sherman he stopped dealing with blood tests for selfish reasons and how he does not see it as an issue, the patient should have just asked before coming in. It is nice to know that other people's time is of no concern to him.

Waited an hour or more to be seen. They must have overbooked the appointments that day.
After I saw the doctor I needed to ask the receptionist for a referral to get an x-ray, and to give my co-pay...stood in front of her for a long while without even being acknowledged (she was juggling multiple calls). I turned around and left.

This is my second visit with doctor Sherman. He has great bedside manner. I never feel rushed and he is very patient and answers all of my questions. There was no wait, and it has always been a pleasure.

Dr. Sherman has a great sense of humor. He is intelligent, educated and, probably, very knowledgeable and skillful as a doctor. However, on the date of my visit, he spent roughly 30-40 minutes chatting with me about various socio-historical issues, which had little to no relevance to my annual exam. In addition, he was constantly on and off his cell phone, which I found to be unprofessional (and borderline unethical), especially when you meet with a patient for the first time. Basic check up took approximately 5-7 minutes (weight, heart beat, blood pressure, thyroid check-up, etc.). And then came the kicker- it turned out that Dr. Sherman did NOT do the blood work on site. He advised me that I would have to go to an outside lab, pay them separately (per his secretary), and then come back to his office to discuss results. What kind of "bait and switch" tactic is it? Blood work is essential when it comes to the annual exam, especially for someone who overall feels okay, has no major complains or visually identifiable health issues. Bottom line, it was a complete waste of my time, which I consider precious and valuable. Lastly, his secretary wasn't friendly at all. She didn't smile at all; no "please", no "thank you"; also, she sounded condescending at first but then warmed up towards me just a bit. To sum it all up, it wasn't a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend this doctor to any of my friends or acquaintances.
