Patient reviews for Dr. Gary Jean-Baptiste
He has very professional and welcoming staff. Very helpful.
It was excellent, understood where I was coming from.
Professional and kind doctor
The worst experience I’ve ever experienced in my life. The simple appointment in total took a little over 2 hours and majority of that was me waiting in the room for him to come talk to me. He was Incredibly unprofessional, dismissive, inconsiderate and rude. I would not recommend him whatsoever. The staff is nice but he is awful.
Very friendly staff, everyone was informative, patient, and moved quickly. Actual doctor is an expert, very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice person, clean office and professional. Will be returning.
Dr Gary was very professional and patience. Explain everything to me. Very nice and reassure you.
Overall great doctor and experience
Everything went super smooth and I got all what I needed done. Everyone was nice and doing their job well.
Terrible doctors office. I went in to check my Measles vacation status. 1. They never called me with the results. 2. When I finally got them to reset my password twice to check the results it said I needed a booster. WTF they should have called me as soon as those results came in!!! No one even looked at my results. There is a measles health emergency right now in BK. And they aren’t even contacting people who want boosters!? Awful. Avoid. Never going back.
He didn't even ask me the reason for my visit let alone treat me.
Workers compensation injury, this doctor failed to send my paperwork off in time, delaying my benefits. The only reason he ended up sending it, is because I made a complaint with the board for his incompetence.
I should've listened to the other Zocdoc reviews about wait time. I'm generally very patient with wait times, and he was the only doctor available same-day in this area, so I booked. He must triple-book himself because he seems to have zero respect for his patients' time. The reception was not very friendly (and quite mumbley), but that's fine by me. They got my paperwork processed, called me back, got my vitals, and got my medical history and quick check by the medical student all within 15 minutes. Then I waited FOR AN HOUR with the door left wide open, which was quite odd because patients and doctors walked by and peeked in at me with my pant rolled halfway up my leg and my injury out. When he finally arrived, he strolled in and said "oh you fell" (literally no introduction of himself or asking who I was). I didn't even know he was the doctor because he was in a black sweater with no nametag or coat. The student doc gave him a quick recap and he said "ok so we'll prescribe antibiotics for seven days" and as he walked out, the student doc said "shouldn't we rebandage it?" and he shrugged and told her to get a 4x4 band-aid. He was in my room for 30 seconds (not exaggerating). I'm not sure how he could possibly be so late if that's the amount of time he spends with patients. At least the student doc was nice and cleaned and re-bandaged my wound. If she was able to prescribe meds, I would've been in and out in 20 minutes.
Do not see this doctor! Will try to make a long story short. I needed to get a physical from a doctor to include with my Green Card interview. Everything must be in perfect order for my application to be accepted. If it was rejected, it would cause legal complications and years more of waiting. This doctor said he was qualified to fill out this information and that it would take a week. I assumed he knew what he was doing. After seeing the doctor and waiting for several weeks, many many phone calls and another visit where after 3 hours, he still didn't show up! (as in he wasn't even on site!!), then I finally got the paperwork back which was missing many many important areas unfilled! I calmed down and went back to coach them through finishing the forms and sealing them properly so I could bring them to immigration. I later found out that I needed to see an entirely different doctor which made me wonder why I was made to go through this process twice! The length of this process which should have been much quicker as the doctor promised, almost made me miss my Green Card interview! I had to suddenly scramble to find a new doctor today to get this done with just 1 week to go before my interview. If I waited just one more day, I'd be in terrible trouble.
Visit went well
My appointment was for 12:00 pm, to which I arrived 10 minutes early. I asked the receptionist for a tissue she said "we don't have. You have to go to the bathroom to get a tissue. " what kind of doctors office doesn't have tissues! Anyways, it's now 12:25 and I get called back to have my vitals taken. The nurse said three words to me -last menstrual cycle? And that was all! A medical student came in around 1pm to the room to examine me and then informed me that the doctor will be back shortly. Be back?! Long story short, I've been sitting in this room with the bed in an uncomfortable position still waiting to be seen by the doctor. Doctor came in after I'd been in the damn room for close to 2 hours tells me what i already knew spends less than 1 minute in the room with me and says "I'm gonna cure you now" and asks after he sent the prescription if I'm allergic to anything. Shouldn't that be what is asked before sending prescriptions? Shouldn't that be one of the questions you ask while you are talking to your patient for more than a minute. NEVER AGAIN!
Dr. Gary Jean-Baptiste is great. Very attentive and makes sure to address every concern you may have before you leave his office. He's great!
He ran a test that my insurance does not cover, I feel as though he’s there for money not helping a person get better. He’s part of the problem as a whole.
Everyone was very kind and friendly. The office is very clean and well ran, my only negative was the wait.
Great doctor. Great experience. No complaints at all!
Waited 47 minutes past the appointment time. Examination took 3 minutes and did not give any time or space to discuss any concerns before heading to fill out a scrip.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste was distant and distracted to the point of being inefficient. I had to remind him several times to investigate complaints that I had listed and forgotten about, and in his haste to shuffle me out I absolutely did not feel like my concerns had been properly or adequately addressed.
Excellent! He was professional and attentive! He is now my new PCP!
Overall I would not recommend this office. I waited 45 minutes for my travel vaccine appointment to be told that they do not stock travel vaccines. They could give me a prescription that I could filled and then get the vaccine at a “minute clinic.” This was the whole reason I made the appointment. I then waited 15 minutes to get checked out. Ensure that this office can handle what you are visiting for and allow extra time for the appointment.
Clean and well organized, polite staff, thorough and articulate
Wait can be very long and the doctor is efficient. No warm and fuzziness from him or the nurses
Excellent Doctor. Straight forward and doesnt waste time
Always happy with Dr. B and his staff. Wait this last visit was exceptionally long. But was during peak post-work hours.
Dr. Gary was very informative and professional. Wait time wasn’t too bad, and his staff was friendly. ????
This office is very unprofessional. The Mrs students that work there are awesome, but I had the worst experience with the doctor. I had a follow up appointment, nothing changed just needed a refill. I waited two hours and fifteen minute to see the doctor. I asked several times what was taking so long and they kept telling me I was next. Then he finally sees me and makes me come out into the lobby. He did my consult at the front desk in front of the whole office. I had to discuss medical issues in front of all the other patients and random staff. It was the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever experienced. There was also a problem with my lab work for three months ago. The office failed to call me or anything! Then he sends the prescription and didn’t even give me any information or institutions besides that I have to go back in three months. If I can find another doctor I will not be going back.
He is very professional , give a good impression when He asked for my health I fell comfortable to hear that .
The wait time is always ridiculously long. This place is just a last resort for me.
I've been here several times. I am very happy with Dr Baptiste and his office/staff.
It was informative, he took the time to listen and address my concerns, he may come off as curt and impersonal at first but I guess that is just his way as of being professional, but he definitely deserves a chance ,the student doctor seen before him was good and very attentive as well, and was able pull more out of me than I expected to disclose, the nurse was great as always, love her!
A third-year medical student conducted most of the exam (routine physical). Dr. Jean-Baptiste came in at the end, asked a few questions, and that was it. (Please do not publish)
He could be better, I believe that is not interested in building a long relationship with his patient , and I can also see that he only briefly look at your result or chart at the time of your visit, if you are looking for a doctor who is willing to go the extra mile for you, he might not be the one you are looking for.
The visit was great. Extremely professional and understanding the need and health of Male patients.
I still don't know what is wrong with me. I was told to come back tomorrow to run more tests so I guess I'll have a better understanding of what his doctoral way of dealing with patients then
The visit was quick and professional. All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
The waiting time is horrible. After I was admitted and got my vitals checked by the nurse, I was interviewed by the Dr’s intern. Everyone was really friendly, but following that I waited a whooping 50!!! Minutes in the room for the doctors to come in. His visit was 2 minutes since I just needed a prescription . Not sure I’ll be coming back.
I waited way too long then I felt dr Jean-Baptiste was rushing me..
They left me in a room waiting for over 40 minutes .. when I finally saw him the visit took 10 minutes. Not my top pick.
Some of his staff is fantastic, the receptionist and the woman that took my vitals are great. The doctor is fine, not really personable but alright. Unfortunately, his nurse is a bit of a grump. This is my second visit here and both times the upper middle aged nurse has been very grumpy and not at all friendly. I don't need my nurses to be super happy to see me but a "hi, how's it going?" would be nice
Friendly Staff. Clean office. Doctor made sure I got everything I needed.
This was my first appointment but I was pleased with the overall visit. I was seen within minutes upon arrival, the staff was polite and helps the office run efficiently, and Dr. Jean-Baptiste knows his stuff. I will be back!
Explains clearly, staff very efficient.
Excellent staff and doctor. However a simple physical took an hour and half.l possible due to over booking.
