It was good. New location very clean and comfortable. The entire visit took about an hour. Better than previous visits.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste and staff provided a welcoming environment. The doctor and staff worked with me to figure out what I needed and were willing to go out of their way to make sure I had the correct information.
This place severely overbooks for how understaffed it is. I had an appointment for 1:30. Got in, filled out some forms and then waited 20 minutes to go to the patient room - despite the fact I was the only person in the waiting room, I walked by 6 rooms each one had other patients sitting on the bed waiting to see a doctor. It then took 45 minutes for the doctor to come see me. He spent 2 minutes with me and then we walked out to order a prescription. He seemed nice and I’d go again if that wait wasnt so brutal given the little time we actually spent together.
It could go little faster, but over all was good
Nice clean office wait time a bit long
Friendly and efficient. Recommend highly!
It was great thank you
Overall my visit here was very good. The receptionist, nurse (or PA), and Dr. Jean-Baptiste were all friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. They all took time to answer my questions and concerns, and Dr. Jean-Baptiste in particular did a great job answering my concerns about the medicines he was prescribing.
Not able to help me
While the doctor was fine (routine physical), it was incredibly painful to see him due to the fact that there is a grossly incompetent receptionist working the desk. After waiting in the room for 30 minutes, she told me the doctor had "stepped out". After demanding a refund and asking for them to contact my work to ask for my hours off to be reinstated, she walked away texting on her phone - while I was talking mid-sentence! She stood in the back of the clinic texting and I assumed she was trying to locate the doctor. I asked her if he gave any sign of when he would be back and she said "oh he's here" while her phone gave away that she was just talking to people on facebook chat. So not only did she not communicate that he would be stepping out "while I filled out my paperwork" (that I had already filled out online), but she failed to communicate that he was already back! Beyond unprofessional and refused to apologize or make clear any part of the process. If she was the person who called me the day before to confirm my appointment but hung up on me mid-speech I wouldn't be surprised. I will absolutely never in my life be going back here for care, until they can revise their hiring practices of staff.
Appointment was very quick - did not wait long to be seen. Was disappointed by the lack of quality in equipment used for general check up/intake information. Did not feel the MD appropriately provided me with the care I needed, yet I'm sure I'll still see a large bill sent my way in the near future. Only came here because of location convenience, but definitely would not return if it weren't for that alone.
It was okay, nothing extraordinary happened, receptionist was friendly and helpful but disappeared for a good while without no one covering the front desk, I would just say improve the wait time, it could have better.
It was good.
I came to the appointment 30 minutes early and was still not seen until an hour after the appoitment time. Dr. Jean-Baptiste's bedside manner was decent at best. I'm not sure if I will keep him as a PCP.
I came to this office looking for a doctor that took my plan from Puerto Rico that is supposed to have coverage in the mainland. When I went they told me I had to cover it out of pocket cause they couldn't verify if my plan could cover it. I didn't have much time so I did it and they gave me an invoice that I could take to the insurance to claim it later. They took over an hour to attend me. The lady was fairly friendly, the doctor was kind of impersonal and never really told me any specifics about what to do and what not to do when taking the drugs prescribed, etc. He told me the results from my test would be available in a certain amount of time, so I called at that time later on and they told me they take longer than that, and that I should call, not expect a call from them. Never again.
Makes you feel very relaxed and at home..
Everything was great, answered all my questions and was able to quickly get a referral for an X-Ray. The Doctor also made himself available if I had any follow up questions or concerns after the session.
I had a great experience here and was greeted with a smile by every member of staff. He was very attentive and listened to and addressed all of my concerns. Will definitely go back.
Doctor Baptist was nice and the environment big. The assistances were also open and friendly. I did have to wait for over an hour though.....
Nice people works there, from the receptionist all the way to the doctors and interns.
I usually visit my doctor once a year for my physical. I require referrals for preexisting conditions and once I convey this over the phone to the assistants they are more than on the ball and willing to accommodate me.
I wasn't very impressed with my visit. I had to wait for an hour to be seen by the doctor for a 5 minute appointment. His bedside manner was mumbly and unclear. The experience was chaotic and awkward. I have no desire to go back there again.
Even though I had my toddler with me and had an appointment, I had to wait for over an hour because the doctor saw people that arrived after me first, and when he finally did see me it was only literally for a minute.
The visit was okay. This is a fairly new office where they did have any supplies in the rooms. I couldn't tell who was a nurse or a MEdical Assistant. Their equipment looked old and their floors were killing me. The Doctor was okay but he seemed to be in a rush and wanted to sit in front of a computer.
Immediately put in a room, but did not see the doctor for over an hour.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is an excellent diagnostic doctor. It seems like a gift he has to catch something at a glance.
I made an appointment for 12pm, I was on my way to the office and received a voicemail less than an hour before my appointment telling me the doctor will be an hour late. The receptionist said to take my time to get there. She did not even ask if i wanted to reschedule. I took that time to run some errands. I came in at 1:40 , I explained the situation to the receptionist and was asked to have a seat. After an hour of waiting I asked how much longer it would be and the receptionist said she does not know because I arrived late to the appointment. I explained to her again the situation and she said she has to ask someone else what to do because she doesn't control what goes on in the back. At 4:08 I was finally called back into the office. I was seen by a student, she tried to take my blood pressure, but could not because the machine was not working. Instead of trying something else she skipped over that part and began reading my test results. I made an appointment to see a doctor, not to have a student look at my results and attempt to make a diagnosis. She left the room and I waited an additional 30 minutes for the doctor to see me. I was with him for 10 minutes before I left at 4:50. This is the worst experience I've ever had with an office00. I really like how they have everything in the office for tests, but it is not worth it. I was furious by the time I left. It wasn't necessarily the medical staff, but the wait time was ridiculous and the receptionist needs to be trained properly.
According to Zocdoc I made a podiatry appointment but Dr. Jean-Baptiste isn't a podiatrist. I waited over 2 hours to be told I need to see a podiatrist which I already knew. This is not the Doctor (or his office's) fault, but it did waste my entire afternoon so no, I'm not happy about it. Again, this is not the fault of the office. They were sweet even if the wait time was considerable.
I was extremely late to my appointment, but I was still seen and only had to wait 15 minutes. I was greeted by a student of Dr. Jean-Baptiste and he did my assessment. His bedside manner was amazing, he asked all of the right questions and knew what he was talking about. Dr. Jean-Baptiste entered the room 10 minutes later and was a bit weird. He made no eye contact with me, was very fidgety and seemed like he did not care. The student told Dr. Jean-Baptiste everything we went over and the Dr. told him what we need to do next. He then left the room and I never saw him again. The student was great, the technician who did my sonogram was also amazing. She was so friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Overall I had a pleasant experience. It would have been a 5 star visit had Dr. Jean-Baptiste shown some sort of interest in me. Also the receptionist needs to be re-trained, he lacks professionalism and his desk area was very messy.
He has two med students running my appointment and it was just a mess -- late to start, they didn't know what parts of the exam the doctor wanted me to do, and then I haven't heard anything in over 10 days about the lab work we did.
I have had negative experiences in the past but this will be the last time I visit Dr. Jean-Baptiste. My appointment was at 2:30 PM so I show up a few minutes before. At around 2:50 a man who was waiting before me went to the receptionist asking how long the wait is because he has been waiting for over an hour. At 3:10 I notice Dr. Jean-Baptiste casually walking into the office from outside (maybe he was on lunch). I do not get called in until 4:53 PM! Over two hours after my appointment time! Once I am with the doctor he checks me and asks what is wrong. He does not seem very interested. The whole procedure was about 5 minutes before I left. I waited almost 2.5 hours to be checked up for 5 minutes. Never again! It's not just me because everyone was waiting for at least 1-2 hours before being seen. They overbook appointments and are not very professional.
First was sent to a location not given when appt was made. Had to call yo get address. Was not given complete address or instructions of where to go once there. Then as I was on time as usual. I waited for over 2 hrs as usual. It is ridiculous that every visit I can watch a movie.
Worst front desk staff, worst doctor possibly ever in history.
Nice medical assistant. But long waiting time. Came in at 3:20. Was out at 5 pm. Dr did not even present himself. Did not explain the process. Just came in : "put your feet here and here" and insert the speculum. It was traumatizing. And to think that one step of the board it s about bedside manner. That's sad. I am all about human interaction. MA:8/10. Dr manner: 1/10. And i am being generous.
First off, the address was incorrect and I had to travel to their temporary location after calling the office to clarify. Wait time was fine barring the travel time. When I arrived I let the receptionists (who were very helpful btw) know that I was considering Doctor JB to be my regular physician. Despite this, I was examined by (2) med students who were friendly but obviously did not represent the practice. When Doctor JB finally examined me, he did not take the time to understand my condition or get to know me whatsoever. After about (3) minutes, he prescribed me penicillin for my swollen tonsils. Only reason I'm writing this is because I've finished the prescription (2) days ago and the symptoms are persisting so I need to book another appointment. This time I'll look a little harder for a doctor that pays more attention to his patients.
He is ok, but he try to see too many patients at once.
Incredibly long wait time. No follow-up/ability to contact doctor about prescription status.
Dr Jean-Baptiste, MD, is efficient and knowledgeable; which instills trust in his decisions. I appreciate that professionalism.
The reviews of this place did not lie. The wait time is not on point and the doc provides little to no explanation for why certain things are prescribed. Went in on August and continued to deal with issues with practice through December.
The wait was long, but not unbearable. Otherwise, it was overall a good experience. Friendly staff, and very thorough.
Fairly unprofessional office and poor communication. Took 4 tries to get blood for a test on my first routine visit. Then had conflicting results. Took another test, and was told a week later they need to do it again because it needs to be frozen. This is something they should know before hand, rather than put me on edge for a week for information that is vital for my long term health.
I came here out of necessity. I read the reviews, but I thought I would still give the facility a try. The reviews are spot on. The wait was long, and I had to ask if Dr.Jean-Baptiste was coming in. I guess the staff could tell I was not happy because they offered to let me be seen by the other doctor on duty. I agreed but Dr. Jean-Baptiste arrived before the other doctor came in. I was examined, and told that my lungs were clear. He decided an antibiotic was the answer. Great!! I was taken to the reception area where Dr. Jean-Baptiste asked about current medications. Because my medication information is very personal, I gave the doctor a list that is in my phone. Dr. Jean-Baptiste began saying the names of my medication. Wrong move! I will not return.
1 hour 20 minutes wait time.
He knows his stuff
He had his assistant see me, then mentioned he'd "be right in" and was gone for over an hour. When he came in, he looked at me and diagnosed me. I'd never go back to him.
Visited this doctor three times before and the interns there show way more care and interest than the doctor does. Although at my last visit I was given my blood results by an intern that did not seem like she had a clue about what she was taking about. After that I waited well over an hour for the doctor to see me and when I tried telling him my symptoms he was very quick to say it was this or that without asking me any questions. When I tried to ask questions he kept telling me the same answers again and again like he wanted me to get out of the office. I waited an hour and a half for this?!!!
Extremely thorough! I had procedures that I've never had before. I expect to get a complete update on my health!
Dr. Jean-Baptiste was very nice and the facility was super clean, modern and friendly.
Very happy I was able to see this Dr. I made a last minute appointment. He gave me a prescription to the medicine I needed. I'm looking forward to getting better. He seemed pretty thorough. He even checked my hernia which I wasn't even there for.
The office is great with a few minor exceptions at the front desk but otherwise highly recommended!
He doesn't see his patients, he has nervous and untrained medical students ask you questions. The Drs office will refuse to refill your meds so you have to see them and they can bill your insurance. When You finally get to see the dr, it's for one minute and he's wearing an adidas track suit doesn't look like a dr at all. Very bizarre. Had to change doctors
Came in for an annual physical and I spent 95% of my visit with a (very nice) medical student rather than the actual Doctor. Doctor comes in for 5 minutes and just recommends PT and a follow up visit and walks away. I guess this is the state of healthcare nowadays. He's a nice guy but seemed pretty absent during my visit. Probably busy managing all the med students.
Was charged 2x- once for the physical and another for an appointment wherein all the doctor did was read test results. No bedside manner and saw the doctor for approximately 5 minutes total between 2 different appointments.
Always a pleasure seeing Dr Jean-Baptiste, he's very approachable and professional. His nurse practitioner Anika is wonderful as well. I like the North 7th offices more became its smaller & more personable but I couldn't get there by 12noon so I visited his Flatbush location. Staff very nice there as well,
The wait was over an hour the front desk receptionist was rude and unprofessional. All around bad experience.
Great physician with an amazing staff!
Very nice. Quick and pleasant. I had to wait at the urgent care for 3 hours and left with no prescription. This doctor saw me in 30 min. and diagnosed my illness quickly.
I highly recommend Dr. Jean-Baptiste . He goes straight to the point and has great bedside manners.
Dr. B has been my doctor for several years, so I went in recently for my yearly physical and was seen rather quickly. I love how thorough he is with the blood work that he orders. I hate getting my blood drawn but his blood drawer (actual term ?) was patient, kind and gentle. I am comfortable with this office and even bring my mother for her physical when she comes to visit from out of the country! See you guys next year!!
Very professional and very knowledgable. He taught me a lot.
Very intelligent! And a very nice man.
Waited 2 and a half hours for a 3 minute consultation.
I rebooked an appointment just to get a prescription refilled; it was noon on a friday. I was brought into the office quickly and had my vitals taken my a nurse. I than sat in the tiny patient room for over an hour until the doctor arrived and hands me the prescription. The place was dead. I saw two other patients other then myself in there.
My review may be colored a bit because the lab that this doctor sent my blood to hit me with a surprise bill, pricing as if I wasn't covered for any test at all (the cost of the bill & the tests were later declined). However, outside of that experience, I still had to wait over an hour & the bedside manner was not a good experience (it took 4 attempts to inject me and successfully extract blood).
Dr. Baptiste and his receptionist were great-- very friendly, helpful, smart and easy-going. His nurse however, should be fired. She tried to draw my blood even though I was there for a sore throat. When I asked her why she had to do this, she said they had to do it for all new patients even though there was a sign behind her that said it was required for new patient ANNUAL PHYSICALS. Worse, she clearly didn't know how to draw blood-- she fumbled trying to set everything up and then couldn't get any blood out because she forgot to remove the tourniquette after she put the needle in my arm. So then she proceed to move the needle around to try and get blood to come out. Then she just pulled the needle out and blood when spraying everywhere- the chair, the floor, the counter, my backpack because she didn't put any gauze there when she took out the needle. Then she didn't know how to turn on the light (claimed it was broken) to look down my throat and used her cell phone flashlight instead. While I was waiting of for the doctor to come in, I turned the light on easily-- she just forgot to press the button. Her bedside manner during all of this was terrible.
Doctor Baptist is wonderful, however one of the interns has bad bedside matters
Great, the Medical assistants, students, and Nurses were amazing, and easy to talk to!
The Doctor and the staff is amazing. I needed a breast biopsy. The doctor did it in the office under sterile conditions and it only took 30 minutes.
I thought that the vist was very good. I was very comfortable and relaxed and able to explain what's going on with me and Gary Jean Baptiste understanding me made me feel very satisfied.
Great doctor. Clean office.
Quick and straight forward. Good doctor.
Nice office and GOOD Doctor.
Great doctor. Very intelligent. He is in great shape. And I love the staff.
Quick and to the point. He told what was wrong with me and he gave me the solution. I will definitely be back!
I'm love it . It was wonderful
The wait time here is incredibly long. I honestly dont even know why they take appointments because its guaranteed that you will not be put in a room until an hr after your appointment time. And then you'll continue to wait at least another half hour before the doctor shows up and spends a max of 10 minutes with you. Dr Jean-Baptiste is a nice enough guy, but i dont have the time to wait around 2 hours just to have a prescription refilled. Its ridiculous. I found a new dr on ZocDoc while waiting in their reception area because it was already 45 minutes past my appointment time and they still had 4 people ahead of me. I wont be seeing this doctor ever again.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is thorough and clear when discussing any and all health concerns. I was extremely pleased with him, as well as the staff. However, the only downside is the wait is extremely too long.
he is not a pediatrician, he has no clue about kids, he had terrible advice and made me feel like iwas asking too many questions, it was only when i left him and found another that i realised quite how terrible he is.
Only be coming over the past year and usually on deal with interns. The last visit was really a challenge as I sat waiting for the dr after seeing interns for over 2 hours.
Very long wait after seeing the interns. The wait was over 2 hours
Very nice, good bedside manner, treated me as a knowledgeable healthcare consumer even before he knew I was a registered nurse. Aliya, the nurse practitioner is a sweet smart lady who was very helpful and knowledgeable as well.
My check up was extremely thorough and everyone in the office was helpful, polite, and professional. The wait was longer than I would've liked, but the care made up for.
I love Dr. Jean-Baptiste. He's very down to earth and I definitely trust him. This time I saw him, it took a while to be seen by him. That would be the only downfall. Other than that, his staff is always polite, easy going and friendly. The office is clean and pretty spacious in the back.
I arrived on time. It took about 15 minutes for me to be evaluated by a student/intern. Afterwards it took a hour for me to see the doctor. The doctor took about 2 minutes with me. Overall, I'm not sure about his bedside manners.
I only saw him at the very end but the whole staff was really professional and kind to me.
This was way better than going to an emergency room. The visit was amazing!
Amazing! The staff, the office, and the medical students are great. The Doctor was very warm and welcoming. He has great bedside manors.
I have been to this physician before so it was par for the course. His staff was pleasant and seemed to truly care that I was feeling like I'd been run over by a truck! I can't say enough about the electronic prescription thingamajig. By the time I got home my prescription was ready and waiting...a small blessing as who wants more waiting time. WOT but when my mother visits I make sure she sees him because he is no nonsense and very thorough!
This doctor was GREAT!!! He was on point. He knew exactly what was wrong with me. The office is clean and there was nice music playing (jazz, reggae, Rock, Latin, etc). His whole staff is friendly. He must be very important because one of the Medical Students told me that all of his classmates only want to work with Dr. Jean-Baptiste.
I really had to apologize to Dr. Baptiste. He told me that I have MS and I didn't believe him. I went to 4 other doctors and they couldn't tell me anything. I finally went to a Neurologist and he diagnosed me with MS. I should have listened to Dr. Baptiste. I could have started my treatment months ago. He diagnosed me just from what I told him. He is one of the best clinicians in NYC.
I booked an appointment at 9:30am and the doctor walked in - casually - at 9:55am. So unprofessional. Meanwhile he doesn't discuss test results. Not impressed!!!
I was very impressed with my first visit. Every person I interacted with was friendly, caring, attentive and professional. I felt at ease the whole time and am glad I chose Dr. Jean-Baptiste. I highly recommend him!!
I waited an hour and ten minutes to find out I was being seen by a student. The doctor did meet with me but wasn't helpful in diagnosing me. His bedside manner was not good as well.
I arrived at my 10 AM appointment in Williamsburg to be told that it had been canceled and that I had been notified (7 minutes prior to arriving). I was then told by the receptionist that I could see the doctor at a Flatbush Ave. location at 12:30 PM. Upon my arrival at the second location I was brought to a room by a student. She then told me that he wasn't even at the office, and may not arrive until around 1:30 PM. He eventually showed up wearing a polo shirt and was less than interested in hearing my concerns. As a first time patient, there were no questions asked about my medical history. I left with only a referral and absolutely no confidence that I was being taken care of. The only indication of him being a doctor is this ZocDoc profile.
The wait time is atrocious. Otherwise this is a nice office with a nice staff. Dr. Jean-baptiste is a good doctor.
The receptionist was very helpful, the medical assistant, Gladys, was awesome, and Dr. Jean-Baptiste was very friendly, thorough, and efficient. I am glad I chose this facility.
Very clean office. Staff was friendly and doctor was awesome. Answered all questions
The nurse who did my bloodwork did not know what she was doing and had to keep asking for advice while drawing my blood. When i was done my arm was in pain for weeks. I waited over an hour and a half to see the actual doctor and had to actually interrupt him from going to see a patient that had come in well after me in order to be seen. When he did see me he talked to me for less than 5 minutes. I am at a loss for words to describe how unprofessional this experience was.
Probably the shortest consultations ever. The Doctor basically sees you for 5-10 minutes, kind of haz
This guy is a joke. Didn't even ask for all my symptoms. I'll never go back
The visit is always nice. Love Dr. Jean-Baptiste.
The Dr and staff were attentive and polite. They were able to help me with what I needed and I appreciate that.
I rather not say. Horrible...
Dr. was a nice guy. Didn't take very long with me maybe 2-3 minutes the rest of the time was spent waiting or with his assistant. I was sent in the office right away, but wanted 2 hours to see the Dr. If you want a doctor who spends more then 10-15 minutes with you Dr. JB isn't for you.
Friendly & professional.
This is My second and last time using Gary Jean Doctors office. Not only his totally unprofessional with only coming in to talk to me for two seconds after his residents that Are there learning from him (the residents are great) the most time I spent with him was him writing a prescription after the resident gave him a run down of my reason for coming to the doctor. His front desk person by the name of Anika is also very nasty and needs to find a new job because obviously Customer Service is not where she should be spending her days working.
Rude and inconsiderate. Didn't take my concerns seriously, got real judgmental about my weight, and announced my blood results in public, in front of other patients and doctors.
Dr. Gary Jean- Baptiste is a great doctor. Love his bedside manner. The only complaint is the length of time before service.
The vist was very warm felt and I was very comfortable and it was all smiles when I saw the staff and the people that gave me the blood work, but be prepared to wait a little while before beginning seen, but it is worth it
The best Doctor in Brooklyn! Real nice man.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste and his staff were approachable, and accommodating. They know their stuff, and have an excellent bedside manner; which I, being a special case - problem patient, greatly appreciate.
Love this Doctor
My visits with Dr. Jean-Baptiste are always great! He listens to my problems, and handles them with a professional manner.
Dr was so rude an unprofessional!! Never in life have I had such a horrible dr. visit. In fact, I left during the middle of it, the dr was that rude! After waiting in an examination room for 30 mins, dr comes In and asks me why I came to see him. I explained that I was looking for a new dr to manage my current prescriptions. He then said ok, we have to do blood work, and proceeded to walk back up to reception, asking me to come with him. The dr then asked for my complete medical history at the front desk of reception, where several people were sanding. As he took all my information he didn't even look at me once. He then informed me that I would need to make another appointment, once the blood work was done, to come in, pay another copay and get the prescription.
It was eye opening experience and he was quite polite and had great bedside manner...
Loved the Doctor. The best doctor that ever had.
Dr. Baptiste may be a great doctor but I really wouldn't know because my visits last all of five minutes. He's always late (I've waited 2 hours before with an appointment ) and I usually leave with many questions unanswered. Had to call repeatedly for test results that he didn't have time to go over with me. Though he is pleasant, I wish he was more attentive. Nice guy, just not the doctor for me.
It's a high volume office, unlike the small private practice I'm used to. Wait times were long, the office is a bit stark and drab and the staff seemed a bit impersonal. The doctor was nice enough when we finally saw him, but I'm undecided if I'll be back based on all factors mentioned. Didn't feel like a good fit.
He is extremely professional the staff was so great and he really made men comfortable
I've been going to Dr. Baptiste for several years now and I love working with him and his staff.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste was very thorough and competent.
Good doctors there
Always good, I had to cancel abruptly once, but always attended and taken care of.Great doctor and not a robot, very warm and friendly.
Besides the fact that I have sinus issues that are annoying, the doctor and his staff are good natured, professional and efficient in handling my woes. Today's visit was a "sick" visit which thankfully was not bronchitis or pneumonia. Sinus yuckyness with all the post nasal drip coughing and massive mucus buildup was the issue. The doctor and his staff addressed my concerns, went over my results from my last visit, checked my current vitals called in a prescription and I was on my way. Is was a great experience outside of feeling overly phlemy.
Veait was ok
Love this doctor
The doctor was wonderful! His students were very nice and intelligent. He diagnosed me quickly. He was right on point with everything that he told me. It all made perfect sense! I will definitely be back!
He was Nice and helpful. It was only my first visit. I have a follow up and wull be seeing the doctor again so i will keep you posted.
Very bad patient service. Doctor refuses to take calls/give results except for a 30 minute window in the evening even if you are unavailable during that time.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste's office is extremely conveniently located for me, so it serves the purpose for when I am home sick and need to see a doctor just to confirm that what I have is nothing serious. But it took 1.5 hours for me to see the doctor---aside from inconvenient, that wait time is counter productive to getting better. A med student examined me first (without asking for my consent) and practically did a miniature physical exam so that the doctor could come in a hour later and spend three minutes looking at my face and talking to me to diagnose a sinus infection. When he examined me he talked more to the med student about what he observed than to me. He was quick to prescribe antibiotics for something that I think can (and will) go away without them, which made me skeptical. But he was amenable when I suggested sticking with natural remedies at least to start.
The doctor was great but I was not a huge fan of his staff. The nurse/assistant (she did not introduce herself) was not very professional and was just writing notes on a random piece of paper, asking questions that seemed pretty odd. When the doctor came in he put me at ease, but his assistant had made me pretty uncomfortable.
I loved the visit. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and the Doctor is very pleasant and sharp. He explained everything to me in a way I can understand. He has a great sense of humor. Everything that I needed was taken cared of in the office. I will send my parents and all of my siblings to him. I will never spend 4-5 hours in the ER again. I have my new and only Primary Care Physician.
Great doctor. Good staff.
The experience was great. He has excellent bedside manners.
It was my child's first time seeing Dr. Jean-Baptiste. The staff was very nice & pleasant. As for Dr. Jean-Baptiste, he was pleasant but when he entered the examination Room he did not introduce himself, he didn't wash his hands & he didn't know how to handle children. He had my child (a toddler) waiting in the examination room for over 30 mins for a well visit that took about 5 mins. I always have things to keep my child entertain but 30 mins was to long for me.
Zocdoc is not the best way to book appts, i claimed my reason for visit was a flu shot on zocdoc but they didn't even look and i get to the doctor and they say they dont do flu shots (even though i got one from them last year) this trip was a waste so i suggest calling in advance to double check bc i left work early and braved the cold and now i have to go to a pharmacy to get it. Anytime else i go they usually have med students and then they make you wait for 45 min to see the doctor who stays for 2 min. i don't recommend crest pharmacy either, the doctor called in the prescription and the pharmacy gave the wrong prescription! Its convenient so i continue to go but if you have the option to go somewhere else id recommend that. One more issue and ill probably find another place.
Overall he's a good doctor.
Good! Very good!
Very nice. I will send all of friends and family to him.
I really liked everyone in the office, they were all very nice and helpful. However, I had to wait over an hour and a half for a 5 minutes consultation with the doctor. I am not sure if I will go there again.
I'm not sure about Dr Jean-Baptiste. The first two visits were timely and the office is friendly. The doctor is alright. The last visit I waited over 20 minutes after arriving early only to be told that the person who gives the allergy test had stepped out. Why wasn't I told that when I walked in? AFter 3 visits and 2 allergy tests the doctor says that I have bed bugs. I'm going to get a 2nd opinion before I start flipping out on my landlord but IDK why he didn't diagnose that on my first visit. I may go back if I'm dying and can't get another appointment with another doctor.
The visit was quick! I just needed a physical for employment
his demeanor is very nice. He answered all my questions. No frills, but none needed. highly recommended.
overall pleasant experience. professional staff. beautiful office. convenient location
They didn't even look at why I was coming (flu shot for my son) and when I showed up they were unapologetic and said they didn't have any flu shots this year. Unbelievable. Not even an apology. Rude and ridiculous.
Dr. Gary is the best!
Loved the visit. Great doctor!
Dr. Jean-Baptiste's professional knowledge puts me at ease; being assured that my health care is being correctly addressed and managed. I will, and have recommended this Doctor.
Everyone was kind and professional and the office was clean. However, as I only had a couple of questions that could have been answered quite quickly, being passed from person to person while waiting until 1:30pm (for a 12 noon appointment) to see the doctor was pretty frustrating. I got the referrals and prescription I needed, but was ultimately disappointed that the doctor seemed too rushed to talk for more than 3 minutes or so. I guess it's the state of HMO health care in the US ...
The staff is always very welcoming and friendly. The amount of time it takes to see the doctor during your visit really varies. I've waited 10 minutes on one occasion and an hour on another, you have to realize that a doctors day is unpredictable and be ok with potentially waiting to see him. I'm happy to wait because i'd rather see a doctor who will take his time with his patients to fully understand their ailments opposed to one who rushes through handfuls of patients a day without much thought. Dr.Jean Baptiste is very kind and thorough, i always feel comfortable being upfront with him and confident in his suggested treatment. I highly recommend seeing this doctor.
Everyone in the office was wonderful. They were knowledgeable and caring. I'm so glad that I found Dr. Jean-Baptiste!
My children and Myself have been patients of Gary Jean-Baptiste for years now and he is an incredible doctor. The staff is always friendly and my kids love them. I fully recommend him to everybody
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is always the consumate professional-- knowledgeable, efficient, and couteous. The location is convienient and the staff always a pleasure to interact with, even when I am not the best of patients. Thank You, Fiona. The office is also a one stop fits all, because you can get from a heart scan to physical therapy to an OB visit right there without having to bounce about to several different locations. And after your appointment, Barclay's center is right there for a bit of shopping. I highly recommend this doctor and his office for all that ails you and the prevention thereof. This Zoc Doc app is cool too because, I made today's sick visit appointment while the office was closed, and got confirmation right on my mobile phone. Now that is productive use of my time and resources. I especially appreciated that today since my voice is gone. I typed what ails me right into the app, so I never had to talk with my horse voice and sore throat. It is great that Dr. Jean-Baptiste uses this app that shows all available appointments at any given moment.
Great will go again
Friendly and in-depth, the assistant knew her stuff, asked great questions, and never kept me waiting. The doctor was well informed when he arrived, and came to a conclusion quickly but took his time explaining it all to me.
It's always pleasant as usual..????
I walked in to this office expecting a wait , expecting to fill out nonsense paperwork , man would I tell you this was the best doctor visit I have ever been too , they took care of me 100% , they listened to everything , they gave me answers I needed , all the nurses are very nice and I rate this visit as great !!! 10stars if I can ! Tuesday's are slow days , recommend you to go on Tuesday afternoon .
Great doctor, great visit. I'll be back
He is the BEST DOCTOR IN BROOKLYN!
Good doctor, but the wait time was pretty serious. Should have brought a book.
The staff at Dr. Gary's office was very professional and assertive. Dr. Gary listens to what I had problems with and gave me the best advice. I recommend Dr. Jean Baptiste to anyone looking for an honest doctor.
The staff was very nice with smiles to geeat me. The prep the doc on what going on. He went. He down straight to the heart of thw matter with testing . I loved it. Great exprience. Good doctor great first experience. This is what a doctors office should be. Did i mention clean. Very clean love it. Please if your sick and you want a caring doctor doctor jean baptist is the doctor
I confused my days for my appointment. He was closing but reopened the office with his assistant to help me. He is a very kind to do that.
His nurse assistants were very professional taking my basic information. The wait time wasn't very long and i was a new patient too. The waiting room was clean. And I didn't have to wait too long for the Doctor to come in once I got settled into the room. He was very efficient in his prognosis and I was out of the office w/ my prescriptions asap. He was very polite. I'm definitely coming back again for other issues that come up in the future. Highly recommend him and his practice.
Dr. Jean isn't a reliable physician. He kept me waiting for an hour and 15 mins on the first visit and the follow up visit we scheduled had me waiting for 2 more hours.
The visit was fine. But I couldn't understand why the assistant who answered the phone said he was "booked" for the whole day, however if I created the appointment online he would honor it. She said the doctor would be "double booked" and that was fine. So I created the appointment on line and walked in the same day.....to my surprise there were no clients waiting to see the doctor. I went in almost immediately. So my question is why did his assistant advise that he was "booked all day"?
Great office and Doctor. He is real sharp. He addressed all of my concerns. The staff was very professional. It was quick and to the point. I signed in and I was called in less than 30 min.
I like Dr. JEan-Baptiste. But he is always ALWAYS late to morning appointments. I can't rely on him to be on time so that I, in turn, can be on time to work!
Second Rate. Not Thorough. Nice guy but seemed disinterested in listening to his patient.
I ended up seeing Dr. Jean-Baptiste for roughly two minutes. The majority of the time spent in the office was either waiting or speaking with the medical student. I booked an appointment with the doctor, not the student.
Nice guy! Everyone was very helpful and kind. Wait time wasn't too bad.
Good overall. Just a really long wait.
This was the best visit to a doctor that I've ever had! Across the board every person I interacted with was friendly, professional and helpful. From the two smiling receptionist to the attentive physical therapist and Dr. Jean-Baptiste. I am relieved to feel like I am actually going to get the help and care I need to take care of my injuries. I highly recommend this office!
He is officially....the best doctor in Brooklyn! I love him!
It was good and the people were friendly.
Highly intelligent doctor. Great sense of humor. He is not stuffy.
The staff I worked with before seeing him (the student doctors and nurse), were great. Excellent sense of humor, incredibly accommodating and warm. The doctor himself talked to me for a grand total of 2 minutes. Barely listened to the attending student doctor about my conditions. Looked at my major ailment for a total of 3 seconds, handed me a sheet of paper, and instead of looking into another other issues I had, just told me to come back and have them looked at. No other patients were in the office when I came in and no other patients were in the office when I left. I have no idea why he couldn't spend more than 2 minutes of his time being helpful and giving me any real recommendations or help. Incredibly disappointed.
Small wait but still felt refreshing at the office. Everyone was helpful. Doc was on point.
Everyone was helpful and kind. And, the doctor was really calm and made me feel better about the situation. I hope to make him my primary care doctor from now on. Thank you!
Multiple problems: - Ran some tests, claimed we'd have a follow up to discuss them, it never happened. I had to play phone tag with him for 2 weeks, and then he finally gave me an extremely rushed analysis and didn't seem to remember which patient I was or what I was being tested for. - They were supposed to give me a referral to see someone as part of the results of the test. They never did. Almost a month and multiple phone calls later, I still don't have it. - They failed to properly handle processing the tests with the insurance. I know have to fight with my insurance to get them to cover tests from a standard physical (that I know they've covered at other doctors).
Nice people, they all listen to patients a lot and know how to treat them well.
Very helpful, kind and efficient.
I had a very negative experience with this doctor. I went in for a very routine appointment. I was at the office for over 2.5 hours and had approximately 5 minutes total face time with the doctor. I was a new patient at this office and the doctor did not bother to introduce himself, ask me any questions, or make me feel comfortable. Dr. Baptiste seemed to be in such a rush to see other patients and get on with his day. I would like to say that ALL of the staff (reception, nurses and medical students) were exceptionally friendly and do a great job! Unfortunately
When I showed up for my yearly checkup, I notice the facility, despite its outward appearance, was modern and clean. The staff seemed a little too apathetic about my presence, but perhaps I think all people taking my money should pretend to be excited to see me. Once I made it to the back, things went very smoothly (there was even some chatting with the nurse) until it was time to see the doctor. I was slightly irritated to learn that he would be late to the appointment since he was coming from the hospital. (All in all it was no big deal since he was probably saving lives) . I'm a chess nut, so I got in a couple of games on my phone as I waited on him in a room for about 20 minutes.. When he got there it was immediately apparent why Dr. Gary is rated so highly. He seemed very professional, concerned, and personable with all of his patients including me. Overall his lateness didn't detract too much from my experience. I do wish his staff had high level personalities to match their captain's.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is a great physician, along with his staff. However, the wait-time to see the doctor is EXTREMELY too long. Every time I go to see this doctor, I always end up waiting a MINIMUM of one hour. Other than that, I would highly recommend this doctor and the office itself.
I love him! I am excited to have had chosen him on a guy instinct to be my primary care doctor ..... He is extremely nice and makes you feel very comfortable
I was visiting NYC and needed to get my son to a doctor. Someone recommended this doctor to me and I made the appointment on ZocDoc. It turned out to be good choice. The office staff was efficient and professional yet friendly. The doctors were very friendly, helpful and comforting. My only concern was the wait time to see the doctor. I made an appointment for 12:30 but didn't see him until about 2 p.m. Despite that, I will make this office my to go place when I am visiting my family in NYC.
It could have been better. He didn't take a good look at my ailment He made an assumption and then took blood . It's my first visit.
I thought it was great. Will keep as my daughter primary doctor.
I took my mother to this office on Thursday July 3rd. My mother has some mental illness and I could not have been more happy with how she was treated. Every one was so patient and caring and made us feel so welcome. I Would Highly Recommend THIS Office To anyone. Such a great experience
I got to the office early and was seen a few minutes before my scheduled appointment. Very courteous staff and very thorough examination. I definitely recommend.
Love him as does my son.
THE BEST EVER
Great doctor; made me feel completely comfortable. Would definitely recommend him.
Last week was my first time and it was wonderful. Defiantly recommend!
He is very intelligent, very funny, and in great shape! Great sense of humor. The office is very clean and relaxing. Great staff!
Dr. Jean-Baptiste was very professional with excellent bedside manner. He listened to every concern I had, and took the extra time I needed to answer any and all questions that I had, considering the fact that I was a new patient and it was my first time meeting him.
The office was nice but it takes a while for the Doc to see you. The office is clean and nice.
Great. Love the staff. Uber-long wait but besides that had a quick and easy visit.
Great doctor, awesome staff.
Very little time with the doctor and didn't make eye contact once. I think they may be running some sort if insurance scam... best to just avoid.
Great Doctor! Highly recommended!!
The office was very clean. Dr.Baptiste was very nice, well mannered Dr.Baptiste did a very thorough exam .I would recommend someone to see him.
Every time you visit you will have to re explain all your problems again. Due to a large number of training doctor interns in white coats. So annoying when he finally comes in to see you he won't even be in the room a full minute. No kind of way would you be able to get comfortable with him as your physician and go see him often. Its like going in a strange office. The nurses that take you vital signs are nice. The girl in the front who takes appointments and answers the phone has no kinda people skills at all!
I am not someone who likes to visit the doctor. I fear needles and have been turned off in the past by doctors and their staff with poor bedside manner. I found none of this attitude with Dr. Jean-Baptiste and the staff at North Eastern Network. They are very professional but also very kind. At my most recent visit I met Dr. Rudy who made my visit very enjoyable. He drew blood and it was the least painful experience I ever had! Thank you doctor!!
The clinic its very nice and the staff is very nice. A medicine student that is trainning with Dr. Gary came in first to ask me some questions and examine me. When Dr. Gary came to check me it was super quick and felt a little rush. He prescribed and i really hope its what i needed.
It was a very simple case, a sinus infection, but he diagnosed it quickly and accurately and got me out the door fast with great prescription and much peace of mind. Very personable manner.
The best doctors offices have the best attendants, and they both contributed to a great first visit. Will definitely return!
It was excellent!
His staff were wonderful
This was a great experience.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is a great doctor. He made me feel very comfortable. He was very thorough in his explanations, and in telling me the type of tests I needed to have done.
Loved the office visit. I will listen to any advice he gives me about health because he looks very healthy and in great shape.
I never got the results for physical, I've called office 10 times, and even stopped by, but they keep changing the story about how the results should be released.
It was wonderful like usual...
I hate going there
the only thing he has ever done is prescribe me antibiotics.
While his bedside manner is okay, the doctor has wait times over an hour and has medical students perform a lot of the histories, wasting time with middle people. I doubt I will be returning.
The best Doctor and Staff ever!!!!!
Very good experience
I've had this headache, cough, joint pain, chest pain, muscle ache, coughing up green mucous and fever which was waxing and waning for 3 weeks now. Dr. Jean-Baptiste quickly diagnosed me with bronchitis and sinusitis. After just one day on antibiotics I already feel 30% better. I've been to three other doctors before Dr. Jean-Baptiste and all 3 would say the same thing that I had the FLU. I did not think the flu would lasts for three weeks. Thank God for Dr. Jean-Baptiste!!!!
Not a good doctor if you wish to become comfortable with you physician. There are a new group of student doctors every visit, then you have to repeat you history every time to a new person. Just annoying. When you finally see him...if you even see him. It's for like a minute. I hate going there.
All he does is prescribe antibiotics
Like last time the visit was good .. I really didn't feel well and everyone was nice to me. The dr especially was very kind and made me feel comfortable talking about what was goin on
He's awesome! My son actually doesn't mind trips to the Doctor anymore which is a great relief to me. His staff is excellent especially the head nurse who's very attentive and observant. She's especially great with the kids. Nothing but thumbs up here!!
I loved the office and Doctor!!!
I like the nurses and other staff at this place; they were great. But the wait time was ridiculous. I was the first appointment of the day and I waited nearly two hours before the doctor saw me. Then he spent less than a few minutes with me.
IT was great I had a good experience. Felt comfortable with everyone that took care of me. I cant wait for my next appt lol
Great when I met him. He knew the vaccines required for Cartagena, had a great manner, convenient location. Only problems: my wait was long (though I was the last patient of the day) and the device I had to use to enter my medical information is maddening.
It was good for a first visit
I Think he is an excellent doctor. Very professional.
The office staff was really helpful with on boarding a new patient that came out of the blue. The doctor was friendly and had diagnosed me quickly. Overall it was a good experience and I will be coming back.
He is very professional
I love the doc, he is cool and down to earth !!
Great Doctor and staff. He is very knowledgable and he has a great sense of humor! I will refer my entire family to him.
Office was clean. Staff and Doctor were great. The wait time to see Doctor was way to long.
I didn't mind the hour plus wait as I expected it from reviews but I did not like that Dr. Jean-Baptiste prescribed me medication without telling me what it was or what he was treating me for, which can be extremely dangerous. (I asked, but not everyone feels comfortable asking). He also identified a symptom of another illness but then 'forgot' to elaborate or address until I prompted him. Just a little more attention to detail would have gone a long way.
He was very nice and the staff was very pleasant, but the wait time was inexcusable. It's nice that they take Saturday appointments, but I would only go back if I needed to - too much waiting.
Been my doctor for three years! Wouldn't go anywhere else!
Wait was a little long to see the doctor but once the intern came to see me everything went quite well.
Very thorough, listened to my needs
The office was very clean and nicely appointed. The woman at the front desk (who also drew my blood and took my vitals) was extremely friendly and warm. Dr. Baptiste was very professional and comforting. I would (and have) highly recommend them!
Have never waited so long for a doctor to then be seen for 3 minutes and told absolutely nothing. Horrible experience. Would never go back.
OK. He is nothing to write home to mom about.
They forgot about my appointment upon my arrival and had to reschedule me, twice. Post-visit I required specific documents which they said they would mail out to me right away. Nothing arrived despite their assurance over the phone (several phone calls, in fact) that the documents would be "mailed out today". Two months later I received them in the mail, wet from the rain.
I really like Dr Jean-Baptiste. Everything he told me, he explained in detail. I very much appreciate his professionalism.
I was seen very quickly, and barring gross misconduct that alone would be enough for me to go back. I had very little face time or words with the actual doctor, but I wasn't there for anything major. The bulk of my time was spent with the internist, who was clearly learning, but did very well. My only real complaint (and this is a genuine complaint) is that they need more interesting stuff on the walls to look at when you're getting stuck with the needle.
His intern was awesome. She was very friendly and thorough.
Dr. Gary Jean-Baptiste and his staff are very patient and professional inside their office. I hope he doesn't retire no time soon!
Wait tome was long, no apology. He was nice but didnt appreciate the wait.
Very pleasant man, and nice staff. I didnt run into any bad attitudes.
He was clear, concise, and very helpful in all my needs! I would recommend him to all my friends and family! I look forward to having him treat me again!
Great, organized, neat office. Was a pleasure to visit.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The nurse was a pro and had a good sense of humor. Dr. Jean-Baptiste and his intern were super knowledgeable and took their time. He's is a good doctor, Jeffery, and thorough.
While I did not talk to the doctor himself very much, his support staff did exactly what I needed. The medical student, Ju (spelling?) was courteous and asked me important questions. The medical assistant Fiona has a very light touch and I barely felt the needles she used for my flu shot and bloodwork! I only spoke with Dr. Baptiste for about 5 minutes but hope to get more face-time at my follow up appointment.
All my questions were answered, concerns addressed, they're training medical students but their system is efficient enough to where I got seen by the doctor in a decent amount of time, nice staff, helpful doctor, good service, location is convenient.
The staff is always professional. Dr. Jean Baptist has training students at the office but I perfer to see Dr. Jean Baptist only. I know they have to learn but and have to repeat myself to the doctor when he comes in and prefer not to duplicate my visit. The office visit was good with Dr. Jean baptiste and I got all my results and he send my prescription to my pharmacy. I didnt have to wait too long which was a blessing. thanks for your time.
Could have been seen a little faster.
He is an adequate doctor that seems to have a problem of arriving onetime due to ''traffic.'' dude, you're a DOCTOR. it's called PROFESSIONALISM. he was 45 minutes late for my appointment, the first of his morning.
The doctor is great but the wait is excruciating. I waited like 90mins to spend 10 mins with the doctor.
it was a great visit and i have recommended him to other family members.
He is the best doctor in Brooklyn. He took care of all my problems and he educated me on how to prevent future medical issues.
He answered a lot of my questions. I Came in for results of my mri and he put me at ease. I believe the physician should always check the patient for any medical conditions cause you don't want the doctor to undiagnose any conditions because the pt only came for results.
This was the longest wait ever. I arrived at 2:15 for my 2:30 appointment and wasn't seen by a nurse until almost 3:30. Then I wasn't seen by the doctor until 4 but wasn't out of the office until 5. Doctor was nice enough though but I had to ask a lot of questions. I will be going back but I hope I don't have to wait that long ever again.
I had the last appointment of the day and I felt rushed and that he was unable to address my medical concerns. I was told that if my condition continued, to come back.... Furthermore, the Medical student who took my vitals (blood pressure, weight, height) had a lot of difficulty taking blood pressure and my weight, and forgot to take my height.
He was nice enough, but wish he spent a bit more time with me himself rather than his interns.
My initial wait was less than 30 minutes but after getting my blood pressure taken I waited about 50 minutes before i was seen again. In all it took a lot longer than I anticipated but I am satisfied with the care I received, just wish it was faster.
very nice new facility you can tell the staff Really cares about your wellbeing and their not just there 4 the paycheck like at the other Doctor i saw before him
I received a comprehensive exam with multiple in-house tests that allowed me to leave feeling confident about the accuracy of my future diagnosis. The fact that everything was done seamlessly, without delay, and without having to travel to different places for tests was incredibly helpful.
Last minute appointment. The staff was great. Convenient Brooklyn location. Very professional office.
Everyone were very respectful, no wait time. By far the best visit to the doctors office in a while for me.
I had a 9:30 am appointment and he rolled in with no sense of urgency at 9:32. Then he had to meet one patient that was ahead of me. I was with a 1 1/2 year old child so promptness would've been appreciated.
Do not like the fact of having to wait 50 mins before I was seen by the medical assistant.
The office environment was tranquil ( I needed that I was nervous) The nurse/receptionist was cordial, friendly and professional. The doctor was pleasant, thorough and had a good bed side manner.
Amazing Dr. And staff!!!
Very professional and friendly staff. The Dr. is great. I highly recommend him.
The place feels very unprofessional, from the moment you walk in. Booked an appointment in person, but when i turned up for the appointment the doctor was at another medical location several miles away. Had to re-book my appointment. When i finally met with Dr jean-Baptiste, he was dismissive of my symptoms and didn't explain everything he was doing and what he was checking for. To cap it off, he sent my blood work to a laboratory outside of my insurance coverage, leading to a scarily large invoice that took seven months to sort out between my insurance and the practice. They eventually paid, but not without undue stress and pressure was put on myself to pay. Awful experience. Never again.
I don't like changing doctors, but in this case I made the right decision. I originally change because his office is 10 minutes away from my apt. But my first visit was excellent.
I waited 3 hours before being called. As wonderful as she was the office manager took my vitals and completed my blood work and EKG! She explained that the office was backed up. Never ever again!
doc and staff are great. busier afternoon so from in-the-door to out-the-door was almost 1.5 hours, which was longer than usual for him but certainly reasonable for a city primary care office.
Ok no complains
Dr. Jean-Baptiste was helpful and has a great bedside manner.
It was very proceedrual
He was over an hour late coming to the clinic making me wait and the staff were unprofessional yelling at each other in front of patients. Several stormed out. They did not even tell me he was not there yet until I had been there 45 minutes. Then I was getting results from an MRI he was short with me and told me the results in terms I did not understand, only after he realized he left a page on the fax and had only told me half the story. Overall his manner was subpar and he could not give me much of a treatment plan other than see a physical therapist. No loose time frame just a percentage of people who recover fine. I would not see him again. Not worth it.
Really quick, wish I'd had more time with the doctor to actually inquire about what type of infection specifically I have and what could have caused it but so it goes.
Quick. Clean offices. High tech. Overall very pleased.
I was very impressed. The receptionist was a little distant at first. The three medical students who did the initial interview were very professional, and very personable. The nurse-practitioner who took my blood was also very friendly and professional. Dr. Jean-Baptiste did not spend a lot of time with me, but he knew exactly what I needed, and I was finished with my appointment and had picked up a prescription he phoned in within an hour and a half of my arrival. Very highly recommended.
To the point knows what he is doing and does it fast and efficient
The entire staff, including Dr. Jean-Baptiste, was very courteous and highly professional. I felt very well attended to and would recommend this office to anyone.
My daughter said he wasn't too friendly :-( he was sorta robotic and didn't prescribe anything for her eczema :-(
I went in for a standard physical to check up on my general health. It has been a long time since my last physical so I wasn't sure what to expect. For my first appointment, I was at the office for almost 2 hours, but the appointment only included taking my weight and blood pressure, drawing blood, then waiting in a room for the doctor to come in and tell me to come back next week for lab results. All in all I interacted with the staff for about 10 minutes and the doctor 1-2 minutes for the whole two hours. The follow up visit was similar — a long wait only to be moved to a room for another wait. This time I was handed my lab results (much of which I cannot decipher on my own), told to drink more water, and sent on my way. I'm left feeling like I have no better picture of my overall health. I'm also left with a huge bill to our insurance that may or may not be covered (pending). And rather than feeling like I found a family physician that can help me understand my health, I had a completely uninterested, inefficient service that felt like a service I could get at Rite Aid. Stil looking for a physician that can do more than draw blood and send it off to a lab. That's too great a price to pay for a middle man.
Have been to office number of times. Have waited as long as 2.5 hrs and as little as 30 minutes. Receptionist has been rude on number of occasions.
I had to wait a bit but the Doctor understood what my situation was and was able to help me get me the results needed and then some.
The doctor its very professional. The issue there its the nurse staff, one in specific its very rude and not manners at all.
after years of pain I finally received a diagnosis after just one visit, im very satisfied
This was my first visit to a doctor in a long time but it seems like he himself did not do the checkup. He has his undergraduate assistant ask me questions about my conditions and came in briefly near the end to prescribe medication. Maybe this it is usually done I don't know.
I was referred by my sister. I love that u can make appointments on line. with it being that it was my first visit with them it was excellent.
Great, as always:-)
Although I was admitted quickly - I did wait roughly 15 minutes in the examination room waiting to be seen. It appeared busy that day. Dr. Jean-Baptiste also has a few very nice doctors in training with his staff.
office staff is great, doctor is great, and no wait.
He was professional and thorough. No wait and the offices and staff are pleasant. Just wish he had more days in the Williamsburg office.
Waited far too long. Will not be returning.
I feel that I am getting the treatment I was looking for from a Primary Care Doc being this was only my first visit I am very pleased so far.
Was extremely satisfied with my visit!
Good bedside manner. The nurses are great. The wait may be a little long but his services are good.
I would definitely recommend this doctors, he was very professional and patience with my needs.
I think he is a good doctor but needs improvement. I think that no matter what kind of appointment whether or sick or well visit he should examine you from head to foot. that includes eyes, ears, throat, stomach, heart, leggs and feet. He had a doctors assitant with him today and she intrerrupted me while I was taking a sonnogram test to tell me about my prescription and blood work that she could of waited until I finish with the test. I thought that was rude . Otherwise the staff was perfect and mannerly and professional and office is very clean.
Great doctor! And he tells it like it is and he also plays some banging music while you wait :)
Very well mannered, seemed to care about my overall health and not just some of my conditions. Was able to quickly and accurately diagnose my condition. Did not dismiss anything i inquired about and answered honestly. Definitely a good experience.
Usually I am pleased when I visit this office. However, today was an exception. I was seen by a med student and then she left and I was waiting over 45 minutes to see the doctor. I was in excruciating pain and it was really frustrating and uncomfortable. Additionally, I didn't even have more than 5 minutes of undisturbed time with the doctor. Maybe I was just in a bad mood because of my pain but I was really disappointed with my visit today. One positive was the nurse who gave me a shot and drew blood was very nice and patient and I appreciated her kindness after the long wait.
was fairly efficient. i recieved my refill in less than an hr after walking through the door
I was basically seen by medical students. I have no complaints about them. They were very thorough. I wish the Dr were present while they did the consultation so he could cover any thing that they left out since they are students and it was very obious that they were still nervous and unsure about certain things.
This was my first and I was not disappointed, the service and staff was were professional
He's a great doctor but the wait time is AWFUL!
very friendly, nice office and great staff.
Very nice, very understanding. Listened to my problem and did what he could to help me out. An all around good and trustworthy doctor!
Staff was nice and had a good sense of humor! Doc very professional.
We LOVED Dr. Jean-Baptiste and his student Doctor! They were great with my son. He loved both of them. The exam was very thorough and both him and his student Doctor explained EVERY step of the exam so my son wasn't nervous or scared. They did an excellent job, the facility is brand new, and the staff/nurses were great as well. Big big thanks!
The vist overall was good nice and helpful staff The only thing I would say is I waited in the room for 20 mins before he came in other than that it was a good visit. He's very professional. I would recommend this doc.
The only pleasant experience I had in the office was with the receptionist. The Dr. was over 1.5 hours late to the appointment on a monday morning, forcing me to be late for work. He ordered the wrong ab sono and never followed up with results after I called his office over 4 times. I did not feel as though he was concerned with my level of pain at all. I would not recommend letting this Dr. be your primary.
It was wonderful and Dr. Baptiste is very personable
I thought it was a excellent visit. I was not as sick as I presumed and was happy that all I had was a sinus infection. As odd as that sounds it could have been much worse in this flu season. I highly recommend Dr. Jean-Baptiste because he takes his time with you and answers all of your questions. He does not rush you in and out.
It was professional n pleasant
I thought it was a welcoming and warming office with great staff and great Dr. i highly recommend this Dr. to anyone who lives in Brooklyn or else where !
I was very disappointed by this visit. I waited nearly an hour and my time with the doctor was under five minutes. He did not make eye contact, seemed distracted, and rushed me through questions. I've had good luck with primary care physicians in the past but this was an eye opening experience. Additionally, the office billed me for tests that I did not receive. My insurance didn't cover and when I tried to get the office to fix the bill, I couldn't get them on the phone or to call back. After 2 weeks I had to show up at the office to get them to change my bill.
Totally fine and convenient but in a followup appt for a pain he asked me to check back in two weeks if it continued, I had to remind him I already mentioned the pain had been present for over six months already and must have forgotten to note that previously. So yes.. it will probably still hurt next week.
It was great! The whole staff remembered me and my medical history from my last appointment, which made the whole process really smooth. I highly recommend them!
It was good. Very pleasant doctor.
Once in the room (30 minute wait), it took 2 hours before the appointment was over. Not okay. Very slow running office. His intern was far more personable and pleasant than he was.
Great visit great staff and excellent doctor!!! Highly recommend him to everyone
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is very efficient. He is not, however, particularly communicative. I've been three times, and each time he's quick with a prescription that gets me well, but he doesn't tell me what the drug is, what ails my body, why I am sick, or how I will become cured. I'm too curious to be happy with this MO, but if you want a quick visit that will get you appropriate antibiotics, this man might be the one for you.
Dr. Baptiste is smart and relatively pleasant enough. However, the wait time is ridiculous. And the wait is always much longer than the time spent with the doctor. Also, he's not good at timely following up with a patient, after tests are taken.
Overall rating is good.
he was very friendly and helpful. all the staff is very nice too.
Even though I was the last patient of the day and I'm sure they were tired, the nurses and and Dr. Jean-Baptiste were super friendly and patient with me, and I can tell they have a good sense of humor. I highly recommend them!
Tremendous staff. Great. First time visit a month ago was pleasant and professional.
the medical assistant was very very very very nice, friendly and makes you feel welcoming the dr is very professional and didnt rush the appointment i would def. reccomend this doctor to people i know
Wait time was a little ridiculous. Why make an appointment when your consultation occurs over an hour later? Worth the wait though. Dr. Baptiste was quick to resolve my issue. Very friendly and professional. Will certainly go back.
Excellent Doctor, with an extremely clean modern facility. Highly recommended if you are looking for a local office. The staff is very friendly and the digital sign in process is organized, easy, saves paper, and a nice change from the poorly written documents of the past!
I thought it was great! The staff was friendly and the environment was clean. The location was also convenient. The doctor was simple and made things run smoothly. They had me fill out a form and pay for services on a tablet thingy which was so cool! This is my doctor for life!
Efficient. I am satisfied and will be back.
the staff were great. everyone was nice and helpful. the appearance was good and the place was very clean. hopefully i don't get sick anytime soon but if i do i will go right back to that office.
It was a good visit
It was good.
It is never okay to wait over an hour. I asked what was taking so long and they said the doctor was writing up notes because he had a new patient. That's just rude.
My visit to Dr.Gary was excellent & u also recommend him to my cousin
The front desk attendant along with the doctor seemed unenthused. My time with the doctor was extremely bland and awkward. The medical assistant was helpful and nice. I would only go back here due to how quick it was and the convenience of location.
Visit was great. I got my questions answered and my issues clarified. He was very understanding and helpful.
I had a number of reasons for my visit, and the nursing staff was attentive to what I needed them for. However, there was a serious lack of communication between what I told the nurses I was here for and what the doctor either heard or was told. It seemed very unprofessional that I had to explain multiple times the reasons for my visit, and he felt very rushed in my opinion: he didn't fully answer my questions unless pushed, and I didn't feel that I had his full attention. I had blood work done, and he made me schedule an appointment to come back in a week rather than just have a nurse call with the results. I can understand if there was something wrong - of course I would come in. But if my normal, run-of-the-mill bloodwork from a yearly physical was just fine, why do I have to pay ANOTHER copay and take time out of my day to come in and hear it. Why can't a nurse just call me with the results like any other doctor's office...
It was good, I was in and out in no time at all!
Wait time was over an hour and i was right on time for appointment. Seemed like they either over booked, or were just backed up since it was lat in the day, (after 5:30). Filled out "paperwork" on this little touch screen tablet computer. At first seems like it would be efficient, except you had to poke it really hard to type or click anything. Probably would have taken me half the time to fill out if the touch screen worked properly. Also had annoying ads at the end of the process. Once the visit started, check-up went smoothly and they whole thing took less than 30 minutes. Needle poking was pretty painless, even though the nurse missed my vien the first time.
I really like Dr. Jean-Baptiste and have found him and his staff to be warm, professional and thorough. Really the only complaint I have is that there is typically a long wait to see the doctor, both in the waiting area and then in the exam room. He is very good, but the wait is excessive, especially at times that I've booked an appointment well in advance and show up early.
He was a nice guy, very informative. Tried his best to help me when I asked questions.
The Dr. had decent bedside manner--not great, not terrible. The issue I have is that I waited for OVER TWO HOURS past my scheduled appointment to be seen.(an hour and 40 mins in the waiting room and another 20 in the pt room). An aknowledgement and apology would have been appreciated, but the dr nor his staff offered one. I don't know if he feels he is above offering an apology, but that completely turned me off. I have never waited that long to be seen, appointment or not.
I had minor chest pains before and told my other doctors; every other doctor rushed me out the door without investigating. He took the time to investigating which was a very good thing for me.
Was very professional and the front office staff was excellent
Got a full round of tests, and wasn't very thorough about explaining results. Also called in to ask for std test results... that took a while and they told me that I had to come in to see the doctor to find out the results... I was negative for everything but they made it seem like I had something.
Simply amazing. Very competent staff and I was seen so fast! Zocdoc made me be able to get the attention I need without needing to wait for a month to get an appointment. I was a bit skeptical at first but everything worked flawlessly. An amazing doctor, very talented at his job and pays attention to the patient. Loved the office. Will definitely be visiting again if needed and will recommend him and Zocdoc to everyone I know. This is the future! Its about time health care feels like 2012 and not like we're in the stoneages.
The visit started shaky because I had a specific appointment time and expected to be seen then. However, that was not the case. I had class after and ended being late to class. Great Dr but I do not go to class late for anyone. He is an amazing doctor.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is quiet but comfortable. The nursing staff is friendly and really efficient. I almost always get seen right away. They are also able to do a lot of different things right in the office - physical therapy, allergy stuff.
This visit was a joke- I would not recommend this place or doctor to anyone.
I enjoyed my visit today. the staff was friendly and professional; I walked away pleased and forward to going back. The location is perfect for me as well.
Pleasant visit and very welcoming environment
I waited over an hour, but the staff was great and so was dr baptiste.
It was a good experience within the Doctor's office.
Made an 11AM appt at 9:45 the same day. Arrived 25 minutes early to fill out paperwork (I've never seen this doc before) and ended up waiting more than an hour beyond my scheduled appointment. It turns out the doctor was not even in the office when I arrived, a fact I was not made aware of until I had been waiting in a freezing exam room (I had a high fever, hence the visit) for around 40 minutes. The doctor was kind and moved quickly, to his credit, but there was no apology forthcoming and I was too fatigued to make a scene. Would not recommend.
My visit went well.Recently I won my disability hearing and the disability hearing officer said, "Your case went so well because Dr.Baptiste takes very good notes. His notes are excellent and very meticulous." "The reason I was seen by only one of their doctor [and it didn't go well at all] was their doctor would have only seen me for 5 minutes, and would not have been as detailed as Dr.Baptiste's notes." Thank you Dr.Baptiste, your office administrator Ms.Beech, and staff.
knowledgable and nice
My visit with Dr. Jean-Baptiste went professionally well.
While the wait was a little bit long, Dr. Baptiste's staff and himself were very warm and friendly. I made a last minute appointment and was a new patient and was able to get an appointment the same day so I have no complaints. I would recommend to my friends and family and plan on seeing him again for any future appointments.
While I feel like he addressed my health needs it felt like he was trying to sell me unrelated medications and he did do this after the visit occurred and I paid cash so it was not a prescription medication.
I love the office. The doctor was very intelligent and intuitive. He new exactly what was wrong with me. I've been to many doctors and they had no clue. He is also very funny and warm. I felt very comfortable. His staff is very nice.
It was a very good doctor visit. I felt like everyone was very helpful and took good care of me.
My appt was for 3:30. I was not seen by Dr. Baptiste until 5:20. Enough said.
Very kind and knowledgeable.
Long wait (1 hour) in the front area and then a long wait (20 min) inside the actual room. GOOD: Dr. Jean-Baptiste was professional and knowledgeable. BAD: I needed to have my results faxed to a specialist and they never sent them. I felt like they wanted me off the phone so they just said they'd send it. There's also a lot of patients so there's an urgency to get people in and out so some bedside manner gets reduced.
Very cursory examination
Very nice office d staff is amazing
The receptionist was kind, the check-in process for a new patient was hi-tech and easy. The clinical staff was sweet & knowledgeable. Dr. Jean-Baptiste was very professional, personable and experienced.
Wait time is generally long but everyone is friendly and very helpful!
I think this doctor was competent and professional, but it wasn't a very personal experience. It felt almost more like a hospital vibe, and less like a small intimate practice.
It was a good visit.
I was previously diagnosed with a terminal illness. Dr. Jean-Baptiste was extremely kind and gentle. He spent an hour with me and he went over all of my options. He is very intelligent. He clarified all of my confusion. Before this visit, I had no idea about what I was going to do. He is God sent. And the most amazing thing about this doctor is that he saw that I could not really afford this visit and charged me nothing for the visit.
The doctor was fine, but he only spent 10 minutes with me after a wait of 80 minutes. That ratio stinks.
Very Accommodating and Great Service.. I Highly recommend him.
An extremely efficient and courteous office!
The best doctor ever! Very informative and detailed, great staff, and CLEAN office. I'm going to send my parents to him.
He's very approachable and seems kind. But the wait to just get lab results was a but much--40+mins. Eek!
Dr. Gary appeared to be nice and well spoken. I waited more than 30 minutes before being seen by him. I wasn't annoyed because i have waited longer at other physicians office. I am not sure if I will continue seeing him because I went there choosing him as a PCP and paid a co pay which i was not responsible for. Also I went for a full physical including a pap smear which was not performed. Dr. Gary mentioned that he would conduct a pap smear before taking my vitals. It is unclear why it wasn't performed. Last but not least I was not sure if coming back for a second appointment to read lab results is necessary, it seemed a bit strange or maybe it is me. I do have an upcoming appointment where I will address these issues. Hopefully it all goes well because the staff, Dr. Gary was nice and the clinic was clean. I would love to continue going there.
I find Dr Jean-Baptiste to be very Knowledgeable, warm, personable and attentive. I would recommend him to anyone at anytime. He is an excellent doctor with an excellent support staff.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste was very nice, but his office wasn't very well-run. I had to wait forever for my appointment, and the nurse managed to leave huge bruises on both my arms while attempting to draw blood
Gary was great to see. His staff was friendly and professional. Most importantly for me, very efficient at what they do. Gary was easy to talk to, which I always appreciate in a MD.
Dr. Jean-Baptise is well mannered, but will only address issues that you requests. On his general evaluation, he will make recommendations to address abnormal results.
Friendly & caring. I felt like he actually wanted to take some time to get to know me. I will be recommending him to friends and family.
The doctor was very nice, although only saw me for about 3 minutes after an hour and a half wait with very few other patients around. Wasn't 100% sure he took the time I would have liked to diagnose my illness. Five days later, my condition has not changed, even with the meds he put me on. Again, he is very nice, but I am not sure I will go back.
Gary Jean-Baptiste is great. He is personable and very attentive to you as a patient. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends. Also his staff was very pleasant and professional.
Dr. Jean-Baptiste is the doctor I been looking for all my adult life. He is the best, and more sexy face to face.
I didn't care too much for the electronic gadget used for the signing in but apart from that I found the staff and Dr. Jean-Baptiste to be quite professional and endearing.
He is amazing doctor !!!
Professional and knowledgeable staff and physician.
Wonderful physician, his bedside manner was excellent! Very professional yet down-to-earth, making it very easy to communicate. Dr. Jean-Baptiste made sure to address all the questions and/or concerns I had during the appointment.
My appointment was scheduled for 3:45. I arrived at 3:40 and left at 5:20. I saw the doctor for a total of 3 minutes. I will never go back to this office again. He was in such a rush and and I spent the entire time waiting.
Couldn't have chosen a better medical facility. Some doctors although they may not mean to do it, make you feel like you are standing before God, but Dr. Jean-Baptiste is such a regular person, you feel at ease right away.
seems like a smart guy, easy to talk to, dunno, everything i want.
I've gone to see him multiple times. He rarely checks you but rather asks questions and prescribes medication. Sadly he was unsatisfactory for me as an MD
Excellent visit for a simple injury I had. I will definitely visit again!
Being made to wait an hour put me in a grumpy mood but I liked him as a doctor.
I left feedback for this doctor on the other appointment. He and his office staff are the best I ahve seen. I am still looking for a good primary care doctor now I believe I have. I would recommend him to ANYONE.
Very knowledgable doctor and great staff.
very friendly and thorough
Very nice and professional. The staff was friendly as well.
He is a nice doctor...I do think he knows what he's doing..I had a very nice visit.
the doctor answered my problem as well as tackled it like a professinal and i was very pleased with his bed side manner...
Once seen he was professional, knowledgeable, informative, courteous and thorough. I would recommend him to anyone.
I waited for about an hour and saw the doctor for 5 minutes. He seemed rushed, but there were only a couple of other patients there.
Great doctor, office, and staff!
Visit was great. Dr. was nice, thorough and timely!
I was feeling quite sickly and his staff was sensitive to my mood. They asked me if I needed to lay down or if I needed any water! I was satisfied and once I saw the Dr. I was taken care of promptly and efficiently. I do believe I will return as my visit was a pleasurable one, all things considered.
Overall the visit was fine. The office was not very clean, and the receptionist was talking on her Blackberry about a boy. The doctor was polite, but very fast, even though there were no other patients waiting.
Very thorough and pleasant, made sure that all tests appointments were made for me!
my first time meeting DR.GARY JEAN-BAPTISTE I WAS REALLY COMFORTABLE TALKING TO HIM. HE TOLD ME WHAT I NEED AND HAVE TO DO TO STAY HEALTHY.. AND YES I WILL BE COMING BE ON MY NEXT VISITED
Great office , great nurses , cool replacement receptionist tablets
as i sat in the office I listened to him have a phone conversation about his friends music career. It was clearly not a business call and made me frustrated at having to wait for its completion.
