Bit of an odd doctor. Not very warm, and a quirky personality. Very knowledgable however.

Beside manner was pretty awful. After waiting around 10 minutes in the actual patient room, the doctor, whom I had never met before, came in just talking a mile a minute. Before I knew what was happening, he was having two medical interns touch my knees and talking about how "impacted" one was versus the other. Before I even got a word in he was asking me which of 3 options I wanted to take. He also talked with his eyes closed at me the entire time. It was really odd. He would take for 2-3 minutes at a time ( I think he was trying to impress interns). Really uncomfortable. I was there for a consultation and to figure out how to diagnose the pain in my knee. I wasn't there to be prescribed drugs or anything.
It was very rushed and impersonal. My procedure was not explained before, during, or after it was done. I had a lot of questions but was not given time to voice my concerns, and when speaking, I felt unheard and dismissed.
He was very personable. Had great insight.

Very warm, knowledgeable, and smart. Answered my 10+ questions patiently and liked his dad jokes. Would recommend and will be returning soon.

I was a new patient but was treated as though I had been seeing the Dr. for years. He was professional and very informative as to what was going on with my injury and my concerns. The staff there are accommodating and friendly as well. This was a lucky choice on my part to go to him and I am extremely satisfied.
Verified patient
He was super friendly and told wonderful corny jokes. He also diagnosed me very quickly and talked me through my treatment options to help me make a decision.
Everyone is great in there thank you so much

Really liked this doctor. Seemed like he really knew what he was talking about. Made me feel like I was in good hands. And funny sense of humor.

Doctor Gary Miller was very professional and knowledgeable. He performed a series of mobility test on my injured shoulder joint to determine the nature of the injury.
I had seen Dr Gary Miller several times over several months and still had not had my wrist/hand problems properly assessed. He did focus on other problems I mentioned, such as shoulder and knee pain, but I grew very frustrated as I would mention the desired focus on my hand issues each time and then would have to schedule a follow-up appointment... with the follow-up appointment having no focus or attention given to diagnosing hand pain. Very frustrating considering my line of work (computer programmer) puts enormous stress on my hands. Every visit that I had, Gary Miller would bring in, what I assumed was a trainee or, an intern shadowing the doctor, I'm not sure. He would more of the visit talking to the trainee/interns than me, and when we talked face to face his style of talking was an abrupt, demanding way of speaking that cuts into your speech and talks over you and your concerns. During one visit he left me in the exam room for about 20 minutes as he debated administrative technicalities with his staff. I was willing to look past this bedside manner, but in my last visit I was in tears, so I had enough.

I have been going to Dr. Miller for over a month due to a hand injury, and during each visit I am always amazed with the level of his expertise and how he puts me at ease. His experience really shows!!!

I've seen Dr. Miller twice now, on both occasions for issues that turned out to be tendinitis. Dr. Miller is friendly, concerned for your well-being, and awfully funny to boot. I like that he's a solo practitioner, too — makes the office experience easy, because I'm not weaving through the corridors of some vast medical center. A good experience all around.

Excellent experience as a first time patient! Dr. Miller's experience and knowledge was apparent right away. I felt at ease and his care was outstanding. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly.

This was far and above the WORST appointment of my life. The doctor came in, didn't even bother to introduce himself, and proceeded to make a joke about how my injury might have resulted from "too much masturbation," despite the fact that my female partner and his female PA were in the room. He didn't even bother to look at the MRI and decided on his own accord, without reviewing all information, that I didn't need a surgery that I was originally scheduled for TODAY. He ended the appointment by making two awkward Trump jokes and no handshake. I will not return and plan on contesting this appointment with my insurance company.

Overall disappointed and a bit bewildered by this consultation - Dr Miller spent nearly as much time telling jokes at the end of my consultation as he did testing my range of motion and abilities during his exam. He seemed rushed during the appointment - I came in for two issues that have been dogging me for a while and he asked few questions about my ailments, relying heavily instead on the information provided in the lengthy questionnaire filled out at check in. Nearly every other doctor I've ever seen has taken 10 seconds to introduce themselves as a formality but I didn't even get that courtesy. I guess the upshot is that I was in and out quickly?

Dr. Miller quickly diagnosed an issue that I was having with my hand. Then he told a few jokes. A pretty entertaining visit! But jokes aside, he struck me as an experienced, thoughtful physician.

Gary and his staff were a little too comfortable making comments about my scoliosis. I’m not a doctor but I doubt pointing out “rib hump” is necessary let alone a technical term. The man performing my x-rays was also a little too excited about my abnormal spine. I felt like I should have pitched a tent and charged admission to the circus.

Dr. Gary Miller is very thorough and professional. He performed my ankle surgery in 2011, so I had no doubts about his skill set. Would definitely recommend.
Verified patient
Dr. Miller has provided us excellent care over the several years we have been seeing him. He is very efficient, using a series of questions that the patient responds to in advance. He is methodical, providing a thorough checkup. He explains his diagnosis and treatment options. He does not push surgery, he explains pros and cons of treatment options. He makes sure that he understands patient preferences and lets the patient provide clear input into treatment. We are comfortable with him. In addition, it is easy to make an appointment online, and to fill out the questionnaire online if preferred. His office staff is friendly and easy to work with. They return calls if you leave a message and remember you from one visit to the next.
