She is incredibly knowledgeable and understands the complexity of individual nutritional needs and how those intersect with body image, and the pressure to conform to cultural norms. Gena is kind, caring, thoughtful and present as a practitioner and I felt safe and comfortable to share my most vulnerable parts. Our work together was totally oriented to my individual needs and provided me with the gentle validation and non-judgmental space that I needed. I highly recommend working with her!

I found Gena at one of the lowest times in my life, and looking back, I truly don't know where I would be now without her. She is so compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable, and I learned so much about myself, my body, and more. Across weeks and months, her guidance helped me become the person I am today, and not a week goes by where I don't feel gratitude for getting to work with her. Thank you, Gena, for everything.

I approach my work as someone who believes that food is complicated for many of us, but that a more harmonious relationship with eating is always possible with the right supports. My goal is to offer you sound, expert nutrition guidance with the understanding that you know your body best. I view our work as a partnership.
I don't have a signature approach or overriding food philosophy. I'm interested in what resonates with you and why it does; I'm experienced with many approaches to food/nutrition and will join you in figuring out what's appropriate for you and your health needs.
As we work together, we'll set goals and priorities, discuss health challenges that you’re hoping to manage or support with diet, and address any emotional struggles that surround your relationship with food. I work to address both the underlying emotional struggles and the practical challenges that can stand in the way of a rewarding relationship with food. My goal is to help you plan and implement a diet that's as nourishing as it is pleasurable.

I came to Gena on the recommendation of a plant-based physician, and couldn’t be happier that he suggested her. No matter what unhealthy/unreasonable diet choices I’ve made, I’ve never felt judged or shamed. She has an amazing knack for saying the things that I need to hear in a way that is neither condescending nor arrogant, but, rather, supportive and genuine.
Gena is everything that you’d want in an RD, especially if you’ve got food quirks, some not-so-great habits, or a turbulent relationship with your diet.

Gena has been so amazing to work with. I was recommended her through another doctor and have been so happy with everything thus far. She is so attentive to all her patients from every meeting to emails checking in and constantly sending along emails with new products that she has found that always look great. I've found it hard in the past to connect with a nutritionist but I don't feel that way at all with Gena, couldn't be happier with the work I do with her!
