I joined ModernWeigh to lose weight and am loving the results. I also signed up with one of the dietitians who provided me with a meal plan which made following her recommendations much easier. She even gave me a grocery list.
Dr. Gene and the dietitian have really helped me lose weight and change my physical health. They are both very responsive and helped me a lot when I was adjusting to the medications. I feel so much lighter, have more energy and a lot less joint pain. At my age, I never thought this would be possible. I started in January and already down 5 pant sizes!
I couldn't recommend Dr. Gene and his practice more!

Dr. Pershwitz so far has been very attentive and has listened to all of my concerns, and when prescriptions became challenging to acquire, he worked with me on finding alternatives that I could afford and researched a national shortage situation, keeping me on track. He checks in often and keeps tabs on me with his online platform that helps me maintain accountability and tracking of how I'm doing. Highly recommended.

About the Physician:
Dr. Pershwitz is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is the owner/founder of ModernWeigh.
The process:
1. Review the eligibility criteria below.
2. Book appointment.
3. Receive email from our support team for a link to our eligibility quiz.
4. Complete the eligibility quiz and sign up!
5, Receive email to create an account on our electronic health record system, Healthie.
6. Schedule and complete lab work prior to your appointment.
7. Complete intake forms.
8. Begin your weight loss journey with ModernWeigh!
Eligibility Criteria:
-Only available to Texas residents.
-Individuals ages 18-64 who have a BMI greater than or equal to 30 or a BMI greater than or equal to 27 with certain weight-related conditions. BMI calculators can be found online.
-Must have employer/commercial insurance to receive coverage for GLP-1 medications. There are other weight loss medications that may be covered or have a lower out-of-pocket cost and can be discussed with Dr. Pershwitz.
-Must not be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant within the next year.
Cost:
First month: $249*
-This includes your consultation with Dr. Pershwitz and our registered dietitian, and the cost of your lab work.
Monthly: $119 for ongoing care and unlimited access to your care team via patient portal.
