Dr. Allen obtained his Bachelor's of Science degree and his medical degree from Damascus University in 1994. He started his post graduate Training in 1997 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He then moved to the Internal Medicine residency program at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan (1997-2001) which made him better prepared for a career in allergy & immunology.
Dr. Allen trained in Pediatric and Adult Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at Louisiana State University “LSU Health Science Center (2001-2003)”; he spent most of his training in New Orleans’ Children hospital which made him well exposed to wide spread pediatric diseases especially in the field of Pediatric immunology where LSU Training Program is headed with one of the leading experts of this field. LSU Training Program is also a referring center for many patients from all surrounding states.
After completing 3 years of training in the Internal Medicine Field, he became board certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology in 2006 and the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2003.
Dr. Allen enjoys treating children and adults using the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of allergies and asthma balanced with practical application of these treatment modalities. And he has the unique ability to relate to his patients by using comprehensive treatment involving appropriate preventive, medical, fitness, and dietary techniques.
Dr. Allen has been bestowed the honor of "Fellow" from the American College of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology (ACAAI). He still remains active in many other organized Medical Societies such as; American Academy of Asthma Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI), American Medical Association (AMA), and American College of Physicians (ACP).
