As a mother, I appreciate Dr. Wing’s knowledge, experience and clear information. My shy daughter found him kind, calming, helpful, easy to talk to and she immediately opened up.
I could not recommend Dr. Ming more highly. He was incredibly present and made me feel scene and heard. His ability to tune in and communicate extremely helpful insights goes above and beyond any experience I've had with a practitioner before. His care is authentic and his vast knowledge immediately impacted me positively. I will be continuing to work with Dr. Ming.

More about Dr. George Wing, MD

DON'T MAKE AN APPOINTMENT UNTIL YOU READ THE FOLLOWING. I TAKE NO INSURANCE. YOU MUST TALK TO ME BEFORE YOU SEE ME. Are you depressed? Do you want to start an anti-depressant medication today? The sooner you start an anti-depressant, the sooner medication will start working for you. If I believe that it can help you, I will write a prescription for you right away Do you think Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) can help you? CBT has been found to be more effective and quicker with fewer sessions needed than many other forms of therapy. You can learn to help yourself with some CBT techniques on your first visit. If all you need is some CBT, my goal would be to try to complete much of the therapy in from a couple of sessions up to 10 sessions I have extensive training and experience in psychiatry and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I believe in prescribing the lowest dose of medication that can help you, trying to minimize possible side effects. Also, I know many CBT techniques and some you can use right away I majored in psychology and graduated from Harvard and completed medical school at George Washington University, my Psychiatric Residency, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at State University of New York in Brooklyn Membership in American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy which honored me by making me the Therapist of the Month in November 2008. I continue to attend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) conferences including a week in November 2019 in Atlanta. My initial fee is $450 and follow up visits are $250. No debit/credit cards.

Another remote session. Dr. Wing is excellent. Patient and careful in his approach.
Dr Wing is very professional and takes his time to explain the medication prescribed.
He’s kind and the wait time is not long at all. He is pretty easy to talk to.

Dr. Wing is an excellent psychiatrist. Very thoughtful and caring. He is attentive and remembers details from our previous conversations. Also, very affordable hourly rates for a psychiatrist in New York City.
He ended up being a very horrible doctor. As time went on you would think he would know your name I came in for each appointment and was always asked what is your name again? 2 weeks after I saw him I was having issues with my medication and tried to call him but something was wrong with the phone lines so I went to his office. I told him my situation and he didn't even want to be bothered unless I payed him . I told him I just had an appointment with you and I'm going to see you again in 2 weeks I dont have the money to give just for a tweak in medication dosage. He started to bargain with me as if we were at an auction he said can you give me this certain amount he was acting as if it was actually auction until I gave him whatever I could because I needed the help to change my medicine. Then he proceeded to tell me that he is going bankrupt he might have to close his office. I need to go to the state and not him because NYC is rich. Very rude and very cold. I told him his phone line doesn't work he said I have to call his phone company which made no sense at all. He isnt attentive and he is very transactional. Not fair for the money you pay. It is a shame because he was very nice in the beginning and as time went on he started to decline as a doctor. No wonder why he is going bankrupt. Please there are so many other better doctors than him do your research first.

He is kind and non-judgemental. There is no wait time. We use the whole hour, I don’t feel rushed. He seems very knowledgeable of past and current psychological research. Despite our differences in age, ethnic background, education, etc., I feel like he is able to understand my distress so that the discussion and treatment is geared toward my experience and needs.
This was another great visit with Dr. Wing. We have been seeing him for over a year now. He is always professional, efficient and sympathetic. We would highly recommend him.
Dr. Wing is one of the best psychiatrists around. He has been very helpful to us over the last year. We greatly appreciate his care and attention.
Was my first time visiting a psychiatrist, i cannot imagine a better experience, dr George Wing helped me so much. He prescribed just the right medication for me from the first time. Its been a month and i feel amazing. I come from russia where its uncommon to take care of your mental health. I didnt realize i could fix so many things in my life with simple things like meditation , yoga , exercise , and a little medication at first :) i am confident i will get better now. I recommend dr George Wing highly.

First, I was 30 minutes late to this appointment, and yet, Dr. Wing was gracious, which I deeply appreciate. During our first meeting, he listened attentively, considered all my information carefully, and also provided very useful feedback and advice on a clear plan as to how I can move forward. He is a gem. Not to be missed. Vast knowledge, but also very thoughtful in his approach to medication and CBT. I highly recommend him.
This was only my second experience of visiting a psychiatrist and so much better than the first. Dr Wing really took the time to figure out parallel, non medication, methods of treating my depression and anxiety and wrote them up for me on a card to take home. It was a super valuable and encouraging session.

Excellent physician. We highly recommend him.
I had a positive experience with Dr. Wing. He was patient, supportive and knowledgeable. He was also familiar with evidence-based talk therapy interventions. Thank you!
Dr. Wing was kind and created an environment to discuss symptom and what, ultimately, was leading to different actions in life. He was fully transparent about multiple treatment options and sharing in his thoughts on each.
Great visit! :)
I have seen Dr Wing several times and he is very caring and interested in helping me. And I have learned a lot about how to help myself. I especially like his brief typed notes which he provides after each session.
Overall, my initial appointment with Dr. Wing was awkward, short, and felt routine. He wasn't very helpful to tell me anything I didn't really know. It felt like he was just going through the motions of his job rather than genuinely interested in my well-being, mental evaluation, or medication management.
Dr Wing is a very pleasant man. He was very patient and listened to my problems and made many notes. He gave me several ideas and recommendations during the session. Before I left he gave me a note to take home which had his helpful ideas for me to think about and work on. He said he will give me more useful ideas the next time we meet. I plan to see him again.
Dr. Wing is close to a stration on my subway line. After registering, he saw me right away. He was pleasant, empathetic and supportive. He encouraged me to talk about my worries and concerns. Later, he told me what he thought and asked for my feedback. He answered all my questions. I look forward to seeing him again.
