They failed to bill my insurance provider and months later, I was stuck with negative impact on my credit score. Had to call them and remind them to bill the appropriate insurance and even then it took several calls and a couple of weeks to get them to figure it out. Bad experience.

Nice guy, but unorganized and unprofessional doctor. He was reluctant to run tests, said I had to see him again for diagnosis, visit was long cause he kept answering his cellphone, and after the visit he called me 2x saying he forgot to get the test results and asked me to call him later to remind him again.

I came in with some confusion and headaches and some other ailments concerning my cholesterol and overall well being. We discussed my diet and lifestyle. He is big on eating healthy and getting sleep and taking care of your body to prevent disease. He's not a pill pusher and I really appreciate that.

I asked for help with a digestive issue, and he gave me a really broad (and slightly condescending) lecture about nutrition and organic foods. It took him a really long time to get around to specific advice for my condition, and, in fact, he seemed put off when I asked him for specifics.
I felt like he was running through a stock speech he used with all his patients, regardless of their symptoms or complaints. It was pretty uncomfortable.

As apprehensive as I was to visit a new PCP, my visit with Dr Cooke went extremely well. He took a lot of time to talk to me about my concerns and I felt like he really listened. I would definitely recommend his services and I'm happy that I've finally found a PCP whom I can count on who cares about my health and much as I do.

Dr. called to reschedule day of appointment, resulting in me coming in earlier, which was fine that day. But the approach and lack of adherence to a schedule was frustrating. Then, the appointment was a waste of time. Was supposed to have a test (said on the phone the prior week that I would) and was supposed to review x-rays that I had gotten at the past appointment. Test was not done and x-rays were not even there when I arrived. Ended up reviewing information we already reviewed on the phone.

Dr. Cooke was very personable and easy to get along with, and since I didn't have any major health concerns, I was comfortable with how casual he was. I can imagine if that's not the case for a patient, maybe he isn't as relaxed, but if you like a very formal interaction, then he may not be the right fit for you.
I also asked a specific question about how much sleep is enough and although I know sleep affects many people in different ways, I left wondering if his response was really the best medical advice I could have gotten.
