Dr. Tepper is cool enough, but that unfortunately failed to overcome my bad experience. I scheduled my appointment at 9 AM on ZocDoc to make sure I got to work on time. They sent a third party email saying my appointment was 9:15. They have a locked store front with their name and address, but the practice is actually next door. There was no signage or communications, so I was waiting on the curb until a landscaper told me to go around the building. Luckily I still got to the place in time, but it didn't quite feel like the height of professionalism. I got a name tag to wear for security, with my name misspelled. My name tag also said my appointment was 10:30. Once in the exam rooms, I was really uncomfortable with their practices. We walked in to the room, and a member of their personnel was just hanging out in the room. All the doors were left open, and I was asked personal questions about my medical history where all could hear. Moreover, while waiting, I could plainly hear in detail the medical information of my comrades in the other exam rooms. I was left waiting in that room until 1 hour 15 minutes past my appointment time. During that time, there were a few cases when staff would come in and read my form to the other, or check the clock, and then leave - without saying a word to me. At one hour, I left for reception to request a cancellation (so I could get to work). She said he was coming soon, and disappeared back to the exam rooms without indicating for me to follow. Dr. Tepper had a few missteps in his bedside manner, dropping professionalism to swear a few times. When I mentioned ZocDoc, he said "oh, so I'm surviving on there?!" ...which was a bit disheartening. He also made a few jokes discounting my occupation (specifically, waiter jokes about Actors). He later continued to ask for discount tickets to my show. I walked away having to miss work and with nothing more than a suggestion to use Aleve. I'm sad to say I didn't quite trust that due to my experience and a quick online search, and now feel compelled to schedule another appointment with a new practice for a second opinion.

One of the most unprofessional doctors I've ever encountered, I waited over an hour to be seen by Dr Tepper, and then when I returned from getting an MRI, I was shoved off onto another doctor, a neurologist who initially told me I was fine and could go; but Dr Tepper had a second to "drop by" and pointed out that I actually had a herniated disk in my spine! He sent me away with only steroids though it was the worst pain I've ever been in and that will potentially require surgery! On top of all this, Dr Tepper requested I wait over a week to get my MRI "report" because he wanted a special technician who (to his own knowledge!) was on vacation! So it made it very difficult when getting another doctor who could review the MRI without having to re-do it. In addition, he seemed only to care about getting a good review on ZocDoc; and the office was in a sketchy part of town and was disgusting. I would not recommend this practice to even an enemy. One of the most disappointing and wasteful doctors visits of my life.

Not a very good listener. Won't be back
Dr. Tepper is great. I had a dislocated shoulder that was re-set by the Cedars ER. They recommended I follow up with an orthopedic specialist and so I came in to make sure I was okay and would heal properly. I was able to get the appointment for the next day.The assistant took X-rays on the spot (they have a full service clinic / surgical facility) and Dr. Tepper took the time to explain exactly what happened, how my recovery would go and recommended physical therapy. He knows his stuff, is smart and very easy to talk with.
Great as always.
Love him
